Clean and comfortable property with helpful staff and a well laid out and tasty included breakfast with good variety. Lots of interesting outside areas and attractive frontage. Good wifi.

There was only a rug and base sheet on the bed, no top sheet.

This is probably the best hotel in Ambarawa and well worth staying at. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms with a balcony have wonderful views of the lake and mountains. The western breakfast was so good we did not try the Indonesian option! It is fresh and different each day, served on a tray in your room. The room was exceptionally clean, and bed linen and towels changed daily. The Indonesian Railway museum is in the town. It is excellent and well worth visiting. The museum is walkable from the hotel, but a taxi back is a good idea as it’s uphill. The heritage train trip at the weekend was delightful! The track runs alongside Rawa Pening lake, with magnificent views of traditional lakeside life. Borobudur temple is about 1.5 hours away. The hotel organised a car and driver to get us there, and to see other local attractions. There is a huge statue of Mary just above the hotel. Ambarawa is a surprisingly interesting place to visit, the only downside - we couldn’t find beer for sale anywhere!
