The location is great—right in front of the train station that takes you to Venice. There are also several really good restaurants nearby. Very convenient!

I would recommend changing the bed I got, as it was too firm, even for someone like me who needs an orthopedic mattress. Other than that, everything was good—a spacious room and a clean bathroom.

Perfect location, value for money

Great value for money. The location is very good, right in front of the railway station and the bus station. Nearby, there are cafeterias and restaurants and a really good supermarket. The room was clean and comfortable. There are two bathrooms in the apartment, which means there is little chance you will have to wait in the mornings. We certainly did not have that problem. We had access to a kitchen with a fridge, microwave oven, dishes and cutlery, which made things considerably easier for us. Our host, Mohamed, was very professional, friendly and helpful. When we will return to Mestre, we will want to stay at the same place.

As noted by other travellers, there was some sewage smell in one of the bathrooms, but not all the time - and it certainly has nothing to do with the cleanliness at Happy Stay, which is very good, but, I suppose, with the pipes in the building.

The location is perfect. Next to train and bus stations. Rooms are clean. There is a microwave, kettle and fridge in the kitchen. The apartment has a balcony.

Literally across the road from the Mestre train station. 1€ and 10 mins to get the train into Venice. Very convenient spot.

Very difficult to actually make your way into the accommodation, quite unclear and lack of details on how to get into the apartment (must have whatsapp to call them, that’s if they actually answer). We had the big room which was situated right next to the ‘reception desk’. Constant noise of people coming in and out until midnight each night, completely unable to sleep during this time as it was so loud. People ringing the door bell, ringing the reception phone and then the staff showing them around at 11pm, talking loudly and slamming doors. Terrible blinds that didn’t block out any light at all, my partner and I had to sleep with sleep masks on as the reception light was coming through the glass doors until midnight and the minute the sun rose our room was full of light. The staff were in the apartment slamming doors and making loud noises from 7am. There is absolutely zero sound proofing in this place, everything was so loud. Facilities are very old and very average. Bad smells from the plumbing in the bathroom. This place would be okay if you just wanted a cheap place to sleep for a night or two.
