Perfect boutique hotel. Original building from the 1700s, but completely renovated in 2023. Best breakfast buffet ever. Large rooftop. Beautiful interior design everywhere. Friendly service staff.

This hotel is beautiful. It’s on a quiet street close to the Alfadenga Congress conference building on the Douro river. The building is built into a stone wall and beautifully refurbished. It’s about 6 blocks central from the Central part of old Porto. But the shortest way is uphill. It was our favorite hotel of our trip.

Fabulous in all respects, one of the best overall hotels we have enjoyed in Europe. Excellent rooms and facilities, and all staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was remarkable, well stocked and diverse. Our family had 3 rooms with balconies which we enjoyed sitting in the sun and drinking complimentary port. Conveniently located to attractions and parks in all directions within a 10 minute walk. Our one dinner there was excellent, tasty, beautifully prepared and delivered by friendly staff. We would come back again if we return to Porto.

A beautiful lounge and dining area. Rooms are very nice. Our cab refused to drop us at the door, as entry road is very narrow.

Lovely stay, the room was great - we stayed in one with a sofa and balcony which was very spacious. The bed and seating around the hotel was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and gave us some brilliant restaurant recommendations, thank you!

Our stay at Hotel Timbres was wonderful. The staff is first-rate: helpful, personable, and friendly. The hotel is newly renovated, yet keeps the charm of its 16th century construction. Special treats such as chocolates,handwritten notes, and a bottle of port make the hotel even more remarkable.

Sarà and Dogo are the best receptionists . Very friendly and professional staffs ! Beautiful hotel except one thing is the street is too narrow . The car can’t goes in . The bed is so comfy and view from the balcony very beautiful

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. It's a little off the beaten path on a narrow stone street. The room was comfortable, large and clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The staff was very helpful for anything we needed and came by nightly to give us a fresh bottle of water and chocolates. The breakfast was excellent too.
