Good location with easy walking access to the centre. Room was large with nice doors opening out onto the street. Bed was huge and comfy. Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order, although service was slow at times.

Kitchenette could benefit from a kettle. Fridge was dirty on arrival and the kitchenette sponge was used, which was pretty gross. The room itself was dark and lacked practical lighting. Our biggest issue was with the shower - water didn’t drain and flooded the room, which meant we either had to stop the flow every minute or so, or use with a very low pressure. We mentioned it on our first night and were told it would be sorted for us, but it was no different - we removed the drain cover ourselves to find the plug hole filled with grime and hair. This was really inconvenient and we wouldn’t stay again for this reason alone. Bathroom layout was unusual and it lacked practical space for any guest toiletries. Housekeeping was inconsistent - towels were taken but not replaced, rubbish was not taken away, dirty mugs and plates were just put straight back into the cupboard and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, it appeared that the bed was just made.

I loved my stay at Prim & Proper. My room was absolutely perfect, a wonderful view and a great bath. It's tucked away in a discreet townhouse and the perfect location for getting around. The staff were also lovely, I will definitely be back!
