Great location and clean

Room was very small and the air con was not the best. At night on the weekend the street was loud.

The room was very, very small. Does not work for three people.

We booked the penthouse and it was a great experience! We basically had the whole last floor of the hotel for us. It included a massive living area with sofas, foosball table, a fully equipped kitchen and everything that you can think off. We had 4 bathrooms and 2 massive bedrooms. A great experience!

The common areas are a little bit small and not that appealing, it was not an issue since we had plenty of space in the room, but it would have been nice to have something more appealing and nice to hang out in.

Our 2-night stay at Independente Bica started off well. The hotel is centrally located with easy access to public transport (including the train to Cascais), and the daytime staff were lovely. They let us store luggage securely as we arrived early prior to check-in time at 3PM

Unfortunately, our second night was highly disruptive. At 9:30 PM, the power went out completely in our room. The only staff member present was the evening receptionist. While she was very kind, she had no technical training, did not know where the main breaker was, and could offer no solution other than waiting for maintenance at 10:00 AM the next morning, which was our planned check-out time. As two solo female travelers in a foreign country, being left completely in the dark with no AC, no way to charge our phones in our rooms, and no working fridge was not just an inconvenience; it felt like a genuine safety issue. When we asked to speak to management, we were told they were asleep and unavailable. All night-staff should absolutely be trained in basic troubleshooting like resetting a breaker. On a positive note, the next morning the issue was resolved, and the daytime staff were empathetic. We especially want to thank Nelson, who was understanding and gave us great recommendations for our next stop in Porto. Hotel staff did apologize, but given that we paid for a full-service hotel experience and spent our final night in the dark without basic amenities, we are hoping for appropriate compensation by hotel management. We would gladly update this review once management reaches out to resolve this fairly.

Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Wasser Tee und Kaffe waren im Zimmer vorhanden. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und gross. Wir hatten ein anderes Zimmer gebucht. Die Dame an der Reception hatte uns aber dann in ihr favoriten Zimmer umgebucht ohne aufpreis. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service und Hilfsbereit. Viele tipps und auskünfte über die sehenswürdigkeiten. Lage ist super wir haben fast alles zu fuss erreicht ohne grossen aufwand.

Bon emplacement pas très loin de la gare et du metro.Frigo rempli gratuitement très appréciable

Il faut enjamber le lit pour se lever , et petit lavabo

Location, location, location.

The bed was positioned awkardly in the room i was in. Not referring to the Japanese concept but there is a big gap between the headrest and the bed itself. Would think that gap would be positioned near the feet.
