Dogs of the neighbor on the floor below (but it’s not the fault of the property). No real air conditioning.

La proximité des commerces et des restaurants. Bien situé. Propre. parking sécurisé et place attitrée donc aucun problème de stationnement.

Baignoire disponible mais pas de bouchon donc bain impossible. Cumulus très capricieux, eau chaude au début mais pas longtemps. Bruit la nuit de quelques motos. Décoration un peu dans le jus mais n'empêche pas de profiter des commodités.

Everything was perfect, especially the view. We will definitely return.

A lot of pros: - Very charming "old school" appartment, description on booking.com is correct, online check-in procedure necessary - super adorable team of Madeira sun travel (in charge of 200 locations on Madeira!), a clear 10! - separate, well-equipped kitchen (sinks can be clogged though, like in my case), vacuum cleaner and dish washer available - separate bedroom with big wardrobe - bedding is pretty hard, which I personally loved (but maybe not for everybody) - fast WiFi (choose the 5G network) - nice balcony for brief use in the morning (breakfast), despite in December - a great plus: the reserved parking lot in underground car park, easily accessible via elevator - large shopping center ("Continente") in 5 mins walking distance, small shop and café nearby I didn't use the TV

Regrettably, one important caveat: - Main table in living room (see picture) was unusable because table plate (not the feet) extremely shaky/broken, hence had to rely on small table in the kitchen all the time. I informed the team, so this may perhaps be ok in the future. As long as this is not fixed, I cannot recommend this flat though! Also, the sofa in the living room (see picture) is very low, so - at least in my case (6.2 ft.) - uncomfortable to sit in for a tall person. The effect was that I did actually not use the living room at all. So I felt that was a waste in my case, which is the caveat. :-( Otherwise, I would surely have given a 9. On a side note, the usual "side" stuff: - Be aware that the appartment is located in a lively neighbourhood, and nearby a main road, so expect the usual barking dogs, motorcycles, and occasional loud argueing between people. Soundproof is ok, but it can be a problem when sleeping with an open window, or sitting on the balcony - I didn't detect any heating available, e.g., for the evening, but probably mostly not necessary when sunny in December. It was ok for me. - no coat hooks available in the appartment - bathroom could benefit from modernization. Also, water pressure (and hence temperature) is occasionally erratic, so beware of burning yourself unexpectedly! Perhaps a problem at building level though.
