The very nice design, the apartment very well equipped (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) the pool is great

The apartment is lost in the mountains. To get there you have 20 minutes by car with scary curves going up. There are no supermarkets or anything that is affordable on foot. Parking the car is very difficult due to tiny spaces.

Be aware that the location is almost in the mountains, so during my stay there were mainly clouds / cold, so no opportunity to make use of the pool (in the mornings weather is better, but then I’d be out to see the sunrise)

The property is very beautiful and calm. We had a wonderful time there and were able to relax and enjoy our vacations.

It was a bit hard to find the property because Google Maps leads to a different location. Apparently, that is something that has happened quite a few times before. The people responsible should be ahead of this problem and inform their guests to make sure they arrive to the property without any setbacks; The cleaning was the worst part of the property and it kind of ruined our experience a bit. The house was not clean when we arrived. After the situation was discussed, a team went there and cleaned it again, allegedly. However, the house remained the same. There was a lot of dust; spider webs and several parts of the house smelled of mold. This is something that really needs to be improved.

Mercilia was there to greet us. She provided a key and walk through of O Palheiro and also the grounds. She was warm and welcoming and cared very much to ensure we were comfortable. The other on-site employees were friendly and attentive. The grounds were lovely with fruiting and flowering plants. Other guests were often sitting outside enjoying the area outside their rooms or the common area and they seemed to enjoy the peace but also were social and we met several of them and learned about their visits.

O Palheiro was newly rented and there were some things that didn't appear to be ready for guests in the room. These have been shared with the management of the location and hopefully will be completed. The staff that was on-site was great about finding solutions to items required.

The property was very beautiful and big. There was room for different activities.

The mattresses were not very good and the pilows either. One siphon was clogged and the water was or too cold or too hot. Very difficult to graduate the temperature of the water. The internet was not useful upstairs.

The property was located in pleasant and relaxing area. Overall the property is well looked after.

Construction work ( noise ) being done at the property while. The windows aren’t fitted with nets allowing lizards to get into the kitchen. The room was incredibly hot and there were no fans available.

Peace and quiet, nice facilities.
