Solar de Lalém

We stayed in a king suite, which was excellent, and the building itself has a lot of character. You can park either on the property or on the street, both free of charge. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was great. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place with a welcoming and authentic atmosphere.

Solar de Lalem is a wonderful old mansion that retains some of its original features, all of which makes it feel like you are staying in a museum. The rooms were nicely done and have all the modern features you would expect. The boutique hotel is run by Rod, who is very welcoming and informative about both the mansion and the area. The breakfast was wonderful and the outside patio was a nice feature. We loved it and were sad to leave.

This was such a relaxing, calm place in a wonderful small village with breathtaking views.

Quarto enorme, muito confortável, com grande janela para o parque. Otimo pequeno almoço buffet, muito variado, com mesas no jardim, perfeito. O solar é magnifico com um enorme jardim e piscina

I cannot recommend this place more highly. The location on the north of the island is great for exploring, and it is an easy walk down to views of the ocean. There is a small supermarket and a couple of places to eat nearby. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was fabulous.
