Nomads Lux - 2BDR Almada Private Porto

The location is very handy for the tram and local restaurants etc, it’s in a quiet area and is well equipped. The property is clean and furnished beautifully.

We had major problems with condensation/ dampness within the bedrooms. We switched bedrooms due to the smell of damp, the second bedroom was equally as smelly. Our clothes and belongings all had to be washed and thoroughly cleaned due to the odour. It also made our sleep uncomfortable, which put a “damper” on our 8 day stay. We contacted the landlord who couldn’t do anything about it. After inspection they said they would contact the condominium to report the faults. This was of no comfort to us during our uncomfortable stay. It was also strange they wanted €25 for a second set of keys due to administration charge. This is the first in our many stays within Europe we have been asked for a payment for a second set of keys, normally you are either given two access cards similar to a hotel or an additional set of keys without issue. We won’t be using Nomads Apartments again as a result of the condition of the apartment and their bizarre request for a key charge. None of the several clocks within the apartment worked or were at the correct time, it was if they were only interested in the immediate presentation. I have complained to booking.com, who contacted Nomads Apartments, Nomads said they had moved us and compensated us, this is incorrect, they also mentioned names of people they had dealt with who we did not know.

The construction work next door drove us crazy!
