Green Coco Suite by AGATA

I recently stayed at this incredible hotel nestled in the heart of a lush jungle, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel offers separate villas, each providing views of a coco palm forest. The villas themselves are modern and beautifully designed. The common areas are nice, with a breathtaking infinity pool that overlooks the jungle, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The bar and restaurant are good, serving delicious food and drinks without the hassle of crowds. Additionally, there are several restaurants within walking distance, offering a variety of dining options. The staff are friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. They were very helpful in organizing transportation, which made getting around much easier.

While my stay was generally pleasant, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The staff’s English proficiency is quite basic, which sometimes made communication challenging. Additionally, the spa services, particularly the manicure and pedicure, were disappointing and did not meet the expected standards.

The treatment

Loved the location in the jungle. It was quiet and peaceful. They organised a rental scooter to explore and it was definitely needed. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of drinking water available with a refill station at the reception area. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Staff very friendly.

As is the case in many Balinese places there is no ventilation in the bathroom, therefore it was extremely smelly. To compensate they put out 'smelly fragrance sachets' which are very strong and to someone sensitive to smells as I am this is not good. The shower and toilet are in the same small area and the drainage was slow therefore the toilet area was constantly wet.

The staff were excellent with me as I was on crutches. They helped in all ways. Peaceful and big rooms. Lovely family who run it.

It was sometimes hard to find staff manning the restaurant bar area. Very basic breakfast for the price We didn’t eat there for dinner as didn’t seem that organised or appetising. Think the family owners may still be finding their feet and things will improve in time. Towels were old and stained.
