Madeira Palace Ocean Sounds 3 Pools & Ac

The location, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, is stunning. We loved hearing the sound of the waves lapping on the beach every day. The infinity pools are good. The immaculate, spacious apartments are well equipped and bright. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, which is important as it is not a hotel.

We had a one-bedroom apartment, but the sofa bed in the living room was not really a proper double bed. It was OK for young children, but it may not have been suitable for pre-teens or teenagers as it did not really fold out properly. Navigating the building upon our arrival at night proved challenging, as there was no reception. We had to communicate with the management via WhatsApp to find our flat. Please bear in mind that this is definitely not a hotel with on-site services, but rather apartments that are rented out for holidays (no daily cleaning). The parking spaces are also very narrow.

The apartment itself is beautiful, spacious, and features stunning custom-made woodwork. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect – right next to the Lido Promenade and the Forum Madeira. The ocean view from the balcony is simply "wow"! There is also an amazing infinity pool right by the apartment. ​While the parking is a bit tricky, we managed just fine with it. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They provided baby equipment, took care of our initial grocery shopping, helped us purchase tickets for the trails, and assisted with everything we needed. ​Thank you so much to the entire Lucas Team. We had a great experience!

I liked the location, you can hear the ocean waves when you are in bed or on the sofa in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped, there are 2 toilets which is great. The flat is very spacious and the balcony has views towards the ocean. The flat is on ground floor so you have people walking outside your balcony / flat which makes it less intimate / private.

Getting in and out of the building isn’t the best, you walk through a big window-less corridor with lights which come on only for a few seconds. I was scared during my first night there and wouldn’t walk anywhere without my boyfriend. It got better as the days went on.

Prachtig appartement. Bijzonder gebouw maar alles werd uitstekend uitgelegd. OV naar centrum Funchal voor de deur. Goede uitvalsbasis.

A fabulous location in a quieter (perhaps more suburban) part of Funchal. The apartment is not overlooked by others, and has a beautiful ocean & pool view, and lovely ocean sounds as a soundtrack to the holiday. Inside the apartment living space is modern, stylish and clean.

The kitchen could do with a little improvement as it's a bit worn. Similarly, could do with a few more cooking pans, utensils etc, while the instructions to get to the recycling bins were like something out of the crystal maze. The hosts were proactive with their messaging & app instructions, however more of a human touch in person would be better received.
