Good Times Motel and Marina

The Good Times Marina does not offer the cabins on Hotels.com, nor does it return items left in the room (less than 24 hours after departure). I booked a property that was advertised to have 2 twins, 1 queen, and 1 double, with a loft. Instead, it only had the double and a queen, and a futon. The manager told me the futon is equal to the 2 twins, meaning the unit still sleeps six. On a good day, the futon sleeps one adult, so 5, but again, it is not equivalent to 2 twins that could sleep 2 people, each with their own bed (kind of important). Additionally, I left a brand new shirt from Anthropologie with tags still on and a new bra, and less than 24 hours later I called to notify the hotel and was told the housekeepers threw the items away. Does anyone believe a new shirt with tags on showing it cost $eighty nine dollars was thrown away, along with another new garment? It sounds like they let their staff pocket items left. Lastly, the "cottages" are literally in rows on gravel within 10 ft of each other. It is basically a parking lot of trailer cabins. I would never stay there again between the lack of ambiance/privacy/comfort and the allowed theft by staff.

This was a nice place to stay. Great if you want to fish! They were very new tiny cabins. Ours was a 2 bed room. Privacy was perfect. They were stacked in there so our biggest complaint if you will is parking. There didn’t seem to be many people there when we were staying thankfully because if there was I see parking to be an issue. I could tell a recent storm/hurricane has caused some issues they are dealing with so that’s unfortunate. But our stay served its purpose. It was safe, quiet, comfortable. We enjoyed it and would do it again assuming we had a places to park. Oh one other thing we did notice was they did have some pieces of metal laying about we had to be mindful about and we had to tell the 5 year old with us to watch for so he didn’t trip over them and injure himself. Idk if it was part of the tongue of the tiny home or what but they were laying in the walkways. So some safety issues there that could be addressed. Nice place. A little room for improvement. I felt like they had too many tiny cabins crammed into a small lot causing limiting parking and some safety hazards. Other than that we enjoyed fishing and our stay was VERY pleasant. I wouldn't be opposed to staying again. For the price it wasn’t bad at all. Who can turn down a brand new tiny home for a night for that kind of price? I hate leaving bad reviews and please don’t take it as bad…more constructive. The storm damage was beyond their control.

We stay at one of the cabins and it was all brand new! Quaint little marina , with great feel!

The room was clean and quaint, the restaurant on site was fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing the staff are amazingly nice

The room was clean and recently updated. The only issue was the walls were thin, and we could hear the people next door, until 2 in the morning.
