We stayed at this property for one night in order to visit the Booker T. Washington National Monument. This property has pros and cons. The Pros were 1. The maintenance/cleaning staff was very courteous and were quick to help. 2. The front desk was courteous and tried to get us close to my parents in the handicap room they needed. 3. They are literally two minutes from the monument which made it easy to visit in a short time period. The Cons: 1. This facility is very old. Although maintenance has tried to keep it maintained, the hotel would benefit from the owner purchasing new fixtures like toilet seats, furniture, etc. 2. The tv had Dish Tv, but sometimes it would take 5-10 minutes for a channel to load. Once you choose a channel, stay there. 3. The vibe at the motel is like staying at a person’s home that you don’t know well. Almost like a hostel feel. Overall, the people are friendly and trying to do a good job. It worked for one night.

The staff were very kind and accommodating. We did have to switch rooms more than once due to loud noise from a paying resident and a second time due to the room not being cleaned properly and having a weird smell to it. The room we settled on was much better in the end. I would recommend the cleaning staff do a better job at dusting the blinds, vacuuming the dead flies out of the window sills, dusting the cobwebs from the ceilings and walls, etc. my husband looked under the bed at one point because we were missing a kids shoe and he said it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned under there ever……. Overall, we only stayed there at night times to have a place to put our heads while we visited my parents. For $90 a night, I’d stay there again. It was quite, had hot running water for a shower, shower was clean, air conditioning worked great, and staff was friendly.

Awesome customer service

This place is a great stay and very affordable. Clean basic rooms, but the staff was so nice. Its close to the lake and right down the road from groceries and fast food. Walking in the front door you see a big classic stair case.

Lake Inn is located very conveniently in Moneta. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and as described. The lobby was very welcoming with snacks and coffee for travelers. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

The hotel rooms are very dirty and floor trim is missing, uneven paint in rooms, stained toilet seats. We didnt even complete our two night stay. Pictures were already submitted via chat.

Hotel was adequate but no breakfast and minimally staffed. Rooms were OK but somewhat run down. No cups or tissues in room. Faucet for the sink area was very loose. It took about 5 minutes for the hot water to reach the shower/sink faucets. But the room was pretty quiet overall.

Check-in: waited 10 minutes for someone to show up at the desk. Once checked in, the desk person had to go to our room first to make sure it was "OK". The room was OK, but had a dirty bathroom sink and coffee grounds on the floor. Coffee maker, but no coffee to make. No cups, no glasses. 1 face cloth for 2 people. Beds and pillows uncomfortable. Left after our 1st night. Happy to say that Hotels.com got our 2nd night cancelled with a refund.
