"Bring cash. Lower expectations. Clean."

6.0

Our room was supposed to be two queens and a full pull out. It was 2 double beds and a small futon. They required a CASH deposit, which we didn't have and had to go to an ATM after driving 14 hours. The room and sheets were clean. The AC was cold.

"No frills, decent-read review ❤️ would stay again "

6.0

We were surprised upon arrival to hear that only one dog was allowed per room as well as a cash deposit requirement of $50. I saw it was a $10/dog per night on hotels.com. We negotiated and they charged $20/might for both dogs totaling an extra $20. ^o^ Luckily I have dealt with many places that request cash deposits, so I was prepared for this and handed over the money. They were SUPER concerned with our dogs tearing up the walls or doors from scratching, but we guaranteed that wouldn’t be a problem. Thank goodness they let us stay. The room was newly updated and VERY CLEAN with a few minor things missing, like the 2 burner stove. There was a microwave and small fridge. But no dishes/pots/pans/utensils like you might expect at an extended stay, however we were only staying the night so it wasn’t a problem. They did refund my deposit without issue. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN! ❤️

No ice machine. Grassy areas unkept overgrown, most outdoor lights were blinking off randomly.Discrepancy between pet fee on listing and check-in. Room AC struggles to maintain temp, looks overdue for cleaning. Kitchenette ok. Towel count minimum and wornout.room lighting insufficient. Not recommended.

"Texarkana disappointment"

2.0

We were passing through on our way to Missouri. The hotel is under construction. Our room was mostly finished, but we expected a queen size bed and it was only a full size. The mattress was covered with plastic and not comfortable. My husband had to sleep on the sleeper sofa, but it was brand new and the bed still wrapped in plastic. He ended up sleeping on the floor. Also no bedding for the sofa bed. There was only one dirty towel in the bathroom. When I asked for two new towels, the desk attendant was arguing and very reluctant to give me two towels. The towels were small and threadbare. I would not stay there again.

The outside was questionable. But the room was decent. But when we need towel paper and fresh towels no one was in the lobby. They just left for hours. The few ppl that was there was left high and dry. Very unprofessional.

The kitchenette suite is very spacious - great home base for solar eclipse. We were able to set up our telescope in our 'living room' and still have plenty of space! The desk and chair and living room chair and couch were very comfortable. It was nice having two AC/heat units - we could keep temperatures cooler in the 'bedroom and kitchen area' and warmer in the 'living area.' We liked having a full fridge w/freezer, a microwave, a kitchen sink, and cabinets to store food and supplies. There was a dishwasher - never used it as the stove was ripped out of the room. The sign at the property states "Extended Stay with Kitchenette." Advertising a kitchenette without a working stove misleads guests - we had planned on cooking our meals here. Front desk said the fire department made them rip the stoves out. The beds and pillows were good - not sure why the mattresses are wrapped in plastic - makes noises and you may over heat while sleeping. Negatives: Bring your own towels and toilet paper if staying for more than a night. Don't expect any house keeping. Bring a lampshade for the bedroom lamp. Shower curtain rod fell down - was not screwed into the wall properly. Thankfully after mentioning to the front desk they had a handyman come do a temporary fix. Tub/shower combo drained really slow. Would stay again if we needed an affordable place to stay - worked out to be ~$56/night, stayed 4 nights starting on a Fri night.

"Overbooked and no room for paid up reservations "

2.0

Arrived to check in on April 7. Had my paid for reservation info. I walked into the office and the lady just pointed at the sign saying no more rooms. Told me to contact who I booked the room through to get a refund. Was not helpful at all or concerned that I did not have a room.

Worst hotel ever. The guy at the desk told me with a smirk on his face that my reservation I had booked and paid for in advance was cancelled. It wasn’t his problem and I was on my own. When I tried to resolve with Expedia they called him but he wouldn’t answer. DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s a total dump and service is dishonest and inconsiderate.?

"Not a Typical Hotel!"

6.0

I booked the room while traveling and expected a hotel. It was actually a motel. That's OK. I do stay in motels sometimes and I had two adult sons with me. We felt safe enough, but the location and appearance caught us off guard. Check-in was in a building separate from the motel building. (There were actually two motel buildings and a check-in building.) IDs were required for ALL adults staying in the room. The room itself was large and clean. It appeared recently painted and updated. It had two beds and a pullout sofa, which is the main reason I booked it. Each of us had our own place to sleep! The bed mattresses were encased with "noisy" protectors. They crinkled when we moved. The pillows on the bed were in shams (not cases). They were so thick and hard that we couldn't use them. There were no other pillows available. The pullout sofa mattress was still in plastic. It appeared new. There were no extra linens for it, so my son closed it up and slept on the couch. We didn't have enough towels for 3 people, but it didn't matter because we didn't stick around long enough to shower. I don't recall seeing any supplies for making coffee, even though that is a pretty standard amenity in lodging. There was ONE plastic cup. No ice bucket. All in all, you get what you pay for and the accommodations were OK if you need simple, clean, and economical.
