Studio 6 Suites Springfield, OH

I don't expect much when booking at 6 but walking into this, Tom Bodette is obviously long gone. We decided to drive on home (another 5+ hours). Allegedly the policy is no smoking inside the building. Thankfully, hallway to the room reeked of tobacco because what could be sensed under that was worse. Room not clean, pillows were sticking to the headboard. Just doze it and start over.

The room we had the shower curtain was all stained and cut off at the bottom. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. The beds were uncomfortable and only full size instead of Queen size like most motels. There isn't any kind of security anyone can just walk in the building where the room's are.

Smelled dingy, kinda smoky. Bugs everywhere as doors at the end of the hallway were just left open seemingly for no reason. Tremendous square footage in the studio unit, however, there were hardly any fixtures therein. Lack of pillows. I paid 89 bucks for the room for one night perhaps I got what I paid for.

The room was very clean.

I had to request hangers for the closet.

Rooms were clean but basic. Did have a large refrigerator.

Surprised there were no hairdryers, and no breakfast.

Good place for the price. It's not 5 star material, but it's clean and safe. It's the best in its class. That's what mattered more to us than luxury. If you want luxury, try Sheraton. If you want best in class, stay here.

Loved the new king-size bed. We stay here every year when attending a writers' workshop in Yellow Springs. We will continue to stay here every year!

Could tell the room had been updated, but the placement of the furniture was odd, plus no chairs for the little table. There was paint on the brand-new floor that had not been cleaned off after the room was painted. We had to move the large desk-type piece of furniture to find an outlet to charge our phones. Came across as clean, but with a 'budget hotel' vibe. I guess that's what management is going for... budget travelers!

THE WORSE!!! Mold & Mildew everywhere!!! Even on our bedding! The pillows was covered in mildew!! We asked for our money back and the guy working front desk wouldn’t give it back and would not offer another room! Finally, we went back the next morning and my husband was able to get our money back after we went and stayed somewhere else! NEVER AGAIN! Lesson learned… always ask to see the room before paying!!!

I definitely recommend this hotel to stay if you’re in the Springfield area. Everyone working here has been very nice Including the manager except for one woman behind the desk where you check in at who has been rude and unnecessarily disrespectful. I have spoken to a few other people that stayed here and they agreed.
