Newport Motel

The place was very clean and reasonably priced compared to similar places in the area. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, but no coffeemaker or electric kettle.

Manager Patrick is very sweet about late check in. It was piece of cake.

I haven't always had the best luck with smaller independent hotel/motels. However, the reviews for the Newport Motel were really positive and as it turns out, accurate. I was greeted in a friendly manner and had all of my questions answered when I arrived. The room was large, comfortable, and incredibly clean. WiFi worked well, beds were comfortable, and the room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It also had a large rack in the back area of the room that allowed us to store our bags off the floor. The property is right on the main road and less than ten minutes from Sunapee Mountain, making it an ideal place to stay if you're doing some skiing. I asked for some recommendations for dinner at check-in and those didn't disappoint. We had a great experience at the Salt Hill Pub right down the street. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back again for sure. Thank you Newport Motel!

The Newport motel was clean, and reasonably priced motel. We stayed after a ski day at Sunapee and although not a full service hotel was perfect for what we needed- a clean comfortable place to sleep. We would stay here again.

Given I didn’t read the reviews before booking this non refundable booking I had to stick with the two night booking I had. The rooms were definitely not matching the pictures online. Rooms were outdated and needs new furniture. Smells a little like grandmas house. The microwave had someone’s exploded dinner on the inside. Someone left bad coffee creamer in the mini fridge. Rug wasn’t as clean as we would like to be and our socks got pretty dirty walking around. One of the beds was definitely broken and when I sat in the edge I would sink significantly and I would slide off. The other bed was ok for the kids, they said they could feel the springs. The hangers were peeling and squeaked. The room was freezing in the dead of winter because the cleaner hadn’t slammed the door to shut it, it took 5 hours to go from under 50 to 68. But once warm it stayed warm. Again, it was noisy because all night you could hear and feel slamming of front doors to get them locked. Service was all self serve, need paper products, soap, or extra towels, go to the office during their hours and ask. You do your own trash. The WiFi is nonexistent as the connection is unstable, that means their tv doesn’t work because of internet issues. The pluses is that the bathroom and beds were as clean as it gets given the age of everything, hot water and a warm room when it gets warmed up. They did do fresh coat of paint on everything. The location is convenient for Sunapee skiing.

Couldn’t stay, heating in the room was inadequate. I was given a refund.

Always an amazing stay here at Newport Motel. They are kind and have excellent customer service. Comfortable rooms as well.

You get what you pay for. Beds were comfortable enough. Room smelled like it was 100 years old. But I stayed in there for only a few hours on a ski trip. It was cheap and convenient
