Tam Coc Moment Homestay

This place exceeded my expectations in every way. Run by the incredibly friendly and warm family of Tommy and Lily, it offers a superb experience. Despite being very central, it's quiet with a tranquil and peaceful garden. Slept very well here. The Wi-Fi is reliable, the bathrooms are modern, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is delicious. They provide bikes for guests to borrow too. Tommy was invaluable in helping plan my stay in Ninh Binh, offering great advice on local restaurants, sightseeing recommendations, and arranging transportation. Highly recommended!

Tam Coc moment is a hidden gem in Tam Coc of Ninh Binh. It is located in a side street not far from everything. Shops and restaurants are just around the corner, but very quiet at night time. There is a lovely courtyard where you can relax when return from your tour. Room is very clean and spacious. It has everything you need . Aircon is working very well and no noisy sound like some of other hotels. Wifi is good in all areas. There is a TV in the room where you can connect YouTube when you need . On the rooftop area , you can see the beautiful view of Limstone of Ninh Binh in a short distance. Both Tommy and Lily speak excellent English and happy to assist you with anything. You can have all the touring tips here instead of going to a travel office. They are the best hosts I have met in all my time in Vietnam. I have no hesitation to recommend Tam Coc Moment .

I absolutely loved my stay. The place is spotless clean and the room very comfortable. Tommy always goes the extra mile to make sure you have a great time in Tam Coc. I would 100% recommend to stay here, you won't regret it.

Nothing, everything was great.

I have the warmest feelings about this homestay and Ninh Binh in general. It is the place you want to return to. The room was very good: quite large and comfortable. Best service: the cleaning was made every day and it was of a high quality. The decent breakfast was included. The hosts (Tommy and Lily) are extremely nice: the perfect combination of helpfulness and respect to your personal boundaries. Tommy is very well acquainted with all the sights of Ning Binh area and knows all usefull hints and details about it. We followed a lot of his recommendations and were really happy about it. Actually, it seems to me that the hosts can help with any questions at all)) I also recommend using their help with transfers from/to Hanoi, cruises to Ha Long, etc. They helped us book a comfortable bus to our hotel in Hanoi for a good value (the price was lower than if we'd booked it by ourselves). This homestay has free bicycles for you to use. The bicycles are basic but in truly good condition: the chains are well maintained and don't make unpleasant sounds. These bicycles are definitely better than the ones from other hotels that we have seen. You can rent more advanced bicycles at the rental service in town as we did for our longer cycling trip. Those bicycles creaked terribly though (almost all rental services here are like this, the bicycles may be ok, but they are not maintained at all). So unless you are planning something super-tough, feel confident to use bikes from the hotel. Keep in mind that the hotel is small and there are only two bicycles there. Although, during our stay, no one except us made any attempt to use them (their mistake! Cycling around the surroundings is a must-have experience.) The common area is very pleasant and calm. The location is perfect: close to everything, but a little away from the main street, so it's quiet. My favorite hotel and city in Vietnam :)

Sound-proofing from the outside world is weak (as elsewhere in Vietnam...maybe here it is even better than usual). We sometimes were woken realy early by the birds singing, but there was no noise coming from the main street. The bathroom equipment could be of better quality (it's still okay though). All in all, the cons are really not significant at all (and I'm a pretty picky person).

Tommy and his wife are extremely kind. They welcome us in their home as we were family. Both of the owners speak good English! There is a good attention to details both in the room arrangement and in their relationship with clients. They helped us a lot in arranging things in Ninh Binh (motorbike rentals, transfer to hanoi, your organization). They even waited for us for checking during the night. The food was simple, but tasty, a good way to start the day. The room was very clean and with all the things you might need. The furniture and decorations are lovely. In the room there's a guide with all the information you need. Nice small balconies to relax. In case of needs there's a parking for motorbikes/bikes.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Tam Coc Moment 😍 Tommy and Lily treated us brilliantly throughout our whole stay. Lily’s breakfasts are delicious and Tommy’s tips when we arrived helped us a lot on planning what to do during our 7 days stay in Ninh Binh.
