Dolphyn Motel

We we very pleased with our recent stay! Not super fancy but they room was roomy and very clean! Staff was super friendly and even gave our daughters a handful of quarters when one of their worker we were speaking with heard that we were taking them to the arcades. The pool nixe and was used well by my children! We will definitely stay again!

My sister, her husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for the Seafood Festival. We found the people to be pleasant and very nice. Told us several times that if we needed something to please let them know. The room and bathroom were very clean. Linens clean and beds comfortable. We swam in the nice clean pool and enjoyed it very much. No problems whatsoever. Would definetly stay at this motel again.

We went to see a show at the ballroom casino and simply wanted a room for the night. We didn't mind that the room was tiny and outdated. We always bring our own blankets and simply wanted a bed. We were not prepared for what we would walk into when we walked back to our car from the beach with two friends. The second we walked in the lot the owner Gino came running out yelling that he did not allowed visitors, we mentioned that we were simply walking to our car to return out beach chairs and towels. My boyfriend mistakenly opened the room door to let our friend used the restroom next thing we know the owner was running to us screaming making a huge scene saying that we need to get our friends off the property or he would be calling the cops and that we could no longer stay at his motel. Talk about going a little overboard. We were angry but packed up our things and went back to the office to get our money back as he said we could have it. Now 8 days later I'm still waiting for my money back. This man should not be in the hospitality business. I gladly went down the street and paid an additional $50 to Tony a very nice guy at the Royal Crest Motel a bit down the road.

Bad, Bad and Bad!!! We stayed for Seafood Festival weekend. The owner was rude. He displayed this attitude to everyone. The room was dirty and the windows didn't open. The air conditioner didn't work. While showering the water was inconsistent hot, cold and colder. There was hair in the drain from previous guest. The pool was not open during posted hours. The carpet was filthy and the linoleum even filthier.The lighting poor and the furniture stunk. The blankets on the bed are older than I am. We enjoyed the festival and spent as little time as we could in the room.

I stayed at the Tides motel less than a mile down the road from Wednesday night to Saturday morning. The Tides motel was not the best place, but it was a place to stay where you were not bothered. My mother, her husband, and my three year old nephew, decided to stay at the Dolphyn motel. There are absolutely no visitors allowed on the premises. Apparently me parking in the lot directly in front of the motel room for no more than 5 minutes, is considered visiting. The owners mother who seemed to be in her late 70's began interrogating me on what my business was. I explained to her I was there for only a few minutes to pick up my nephew and I would be on my way. She began to yell at me and I was unable to keep calm and exchanged a few words with her as well. I then left the premises until My family showed up. I pulled back in to quickly grab my nephew. The owner, son of the late aged elder woman, shows up and began threatening me telling me if I don't leave he will kick my family out of their room without giving them their money back. In an upset manner, I rudely exchanged words with the owner displaying his arrogance and rudeness towards paying customers. He then threw them out of their room. They gladly packed up their belongings and booked a room down at the Tides Motel for the night. The Tides were more than accommodating to their situation. If I were you I would not give a man business who is arrogant and rude towards his paying customers.

We stopped in here for a night's stay due to the fact they had a vacancy. We had already been in the area for 2 nights but our hotel was already booked when we wanted to extend our stay! We stopped in the office to check the rate for the night and the gentleman who I think is the owner was rude! He could of cared less if we booked it or not! We decided to just go with it "How bad could it be?" There were not many places with rooms and we thought if we waited we might not get a place.We proceeded to our room which hasn't been updated since the 70's. It smelled clean and th linens appeared clean it was just very old and in desperate updating. We did after a while in our room find some broken glass chards on the floor in various places. Surface clean at best.We discovered the toilet wouldn't flush! It would just fill to the top of the bowl and drain very slowly. We informed a women who is the owners mother who appeared to be in her late 70's. She said she would go down and look at it. We went out and came back late in the night to find the toilet was still not flushing and there was no one around to help! The office was closed and no one answered the hotel phone. The shower and sink had very little water pressure as well. There's an obvious plumbing issue! After not being able to use the bathroom all night we woke up to some sort of waste and sludge in the toilet! It stunk!!! We packed our stuff as quick as we could. I went to the office to check out and let them know how unhappy I was and again no one to be found! I rang the little bell on the desk and no one. After a few minutes I just left the key and got out of there as quick as I could. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!

a couple of friends of mine and myself decided to take a trip to Hampton beach this week. So we looked online and rented a room at this motel. First of all to start we couldn't even find this place due to all the other motels around the area and the smallest sign on the block that said Dolphyn Motel. So when we finally found this place the outside looked average not to mention the closet sized front office. We were greeted by a gentleman after waiting 10 minuets to get a room. With not the best attitude he proceeded to get our key and then said angrily it will be $350$ with tax! While proceeding to the room we looked at the pool which was just about green with algae growing, you could tell it hadnt been vacuumed in a while. When we got into our room I noticed that the lighting was very poor, and that there was a gap under our entrance door that a small rodent could probably fit through!! While looking at the beds you could tell by the sheets that they have been used over and over again by the worn out torn quilts and sun stained pillows. Also a bad side to the motel is there was no WiFi connection at all!! I then went to the owner and asked him why there was no internet, he then told me "OOH That is a courtesy its not part of the room" I do believe it says on the website free WiFi for the whole place but i guess that's false advertisement. Nothing could Prepare us all for what we seen in the bathroom! There was (black mold) all over the shower and curtain!! also insects every where on the bathroom walls!! Dirty Dishes in the cabinets and also broken toaster and old run down air conditioner that basically fell apart when touched!! I was Extremely disappointed in this place and also the rude slumlord or what ever he was!!!! I will never come to this motel again!! There are plenty of better motels not even half a mile from this run down crap hole. The only upsides I have to offer this place is great location and a very nice old lady that I believe used to own the place.. In my opinion I believe the old lady should take it over again, cause her son obviously does not know how to run a motel business never mind being kind and accommodating!!!!

Went to Hampton Beach for the day and decided to stay last minute over the holiday weekend and the Dolphyn Motel had vacancy. From some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical but this place was perfect for what we were looking for. The mother and son owners were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and had a working AC, which was great. The pool was also very nice and clean! There is a small convenient store directly across the street which was perfect! I will definitely stay there again soon!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed at the Dolphyn Motel 3-4 years ago in early-mid July for a week. We paid $900 tax included which was more than reasonable compared to the rates which other hotels/motels/inns were charging. Upon arrival, the little Italian owner was more than accommodating to my family (maybe because my mom was speaking to her in Italian) and gave us suggestions of things to do around the area, directions as well as suggestions for restaurants. The rooms were great for the rates they were charging and housekeeping visited up every morning asking if we needed anything. They had a heated pool which my sister and I loved. We would certainly return to the Dolphyn the next time we visit Hampton Beach!

I have stayed at this motel a few times - yes it is very old and outdated. We FROZE as well. Our heat did not work. We got a pretty good price on the rooms last memorial day weekend - like $60/night. Of course two weeks later that price just about doubled which that place should not be getting 150.00 a night. People pay it so that's why they can charge it. Crap it was cheaper to stay there then it would have been to go pitch a tent and camp!!
