Mango Motel Wildwood Beach & Boardwalk

Room was clean . Pool area and jacuzzi were nice and kept and was a good spot walking distance to everything and the beach and boardwalk close by Restaurants and bars so no driving required Would stay again

I had to travel to Cape May for an evenings work and decided to bring my wife for a one night getaway. We chose the Mango Motel because of its history and fairly favorable reviews but was so disappointed when we saw our room which obviously a closet at one time converted into a bedroom with a king bed. There was no space to walk around and the only window in the room had an air conditioner in it. The toilet in the bathroom was pulled from the wall and felt unstable to sit on. We were very upset, I didn't want to confront the manager in fear I'd might lash out. I paid $400 plus for a closet. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will not give this establishment any star rating

Don't know where to start. Asked for a king bed. Buyer beware. The "room" we were given, more like a converted closet, for $400, I might add, was literally 10 x 10. We measured it. With a king bed right in the center, we literally had only 1 foot to maneuver around the bed (between bed and wall), all while ducking to make sure we didn't walk into the TV hanging on the wall. Bathroom was slightly bigger than a large casket. Toilet was CROOKED and unstable. Windows? Tiny, with an air conditioner occupying one. The other looked out, through the broken blinds (no privacy) onto an alleyway of a bar. The floor was dirty enough that I had to wash my feet in the morning from my nightly bathroom trips. EWW! Totally confused - the pics on the site did their job. Major bait and switch. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - especially a $400 cost! Shame on them for charging so much for HALF a room...not even worth $50/night.

We felt like family. Early check-in was easy and room was perfect.

We were running late to check in and received a call to confirm our arrival, offering any assistance if needed. When we arrived, check in was quick and our room was nice and cool which was much appreciated after the long drive. It also smelled clean, the floors were clean, new towels in the bathroom, clean sheets, comfy beds. And i liked the lighting options too, nothing crazy but different than what I've seen before. The couple that run the hotel were really friendly and it's obvious they care about accommodating their guests. This place is only about 2 blocks from the boardwalk and close to the Splash Zone and Raging Waters water parks, so close to the action, but also within about a half mile of the convention center. We only reserved one night but decided we'd stay one more so we could try the escape room on the boardwalk (one of the best I've done) and hit the water park. Luckily they were able to accommodate us and at an extremely fair rate for an extra weekend day. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Mango. Despite and electrical problem that led to the fridge crapping out in the kitchenette unit we rented (we lost some chicken), the hotel is what you will typically find in Wildwood; old hotels that have had a bit of a make over. Place was clean enough, staff was helpful and apologetic because of the electrical situation. Very close to the beach and boardwalk (this is the reason we booked here), and free parking in a lot across the street. Bed was comfortable, room was cozy and kitchenette, although lacked a few items (cutting knives and cutting board) was good.

Mango Motel is a nice little motel experience. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. My impression was that this was a pretty well refurbished motel that had been around for a little while. Some quirks to that but overall functional and comfortable. I had a corner room which came with a kitchenette. Worked well for my needs but felt like it would be a bit tight with more than two people.

it was really nice to stay in a hotel. It actually had streaming services.

The room was extremely overpriced for what we got. It was very small, and we were given a used toilet paper roll instead of a fresh one, which felt unhygienic considering the rate we paid. The room is advertised to fit 4 people, yet we were charged extra for the two additional guests — despite arriving late and having to check out by 11 a.m. Those extra charges didn’t even come with additional towels, blankets, or any other accommodations. Amenities were minimal, with only a small pool and what appeared to be a jacuzzi, but it was cold. Overall, not worth the price.
