Moapa Motel

About what you’d expect. You have to check in at the gas station next door, which is weird, but the attendant was nice. I had dogs and the pet fee is low ($10), which is why I picked that place. There are lots of goat head weeds on the surrounding grounds, so the dogs and my shoes kept picking them up. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The thing that drove me nuts was the heater. It was very cold in the room when I arrived and I had to blindly press buttons because they were all worn down. I later found a remote that was much easier to read. But it was so loud! I swear it was louder than normal in-room AC’s. It woke me up every time it kicked on and I’m usually pretty good with noises. Overall, I’d probably stay again, but only if the rooms were $50 cheaper.

The checkin was slowed due to poor internet connection at AM-PM. Took about 30 minutes to be able to get code for door lock. Glad it got resolved, as options nearby are non-existent. Room is clean, bed comfortable, heater a bit noisy, but slept just fine.

The room was what we needed. We needed a place to sleep while on a road trip. We didn't need much but simply a comfortable bed to sleep in with a place to wash up. We slept well and got back on the road.

Neither Google Maps nor Apple Maps could direct us to the Moapa Motel. Google Maps took us to Mesquit, about 25 miles away, on I-70 east only to take us off the hwy to make a U-turn and get back on I-70 west. We changed to Apple Maps. When we got back to the Glendale/Moapa exit, Apple Maps had us exit & told us to turn left under the bridge. When we went under I-70, it told us to U-turn & again go East on I-70. We decided to stop & ask at the gas station on that exit. Fortunately, the attendant knew where the motel was & gave us good directions to get there. It was only a mile away. I recommend the owners get in contact with both Google Maps and Apple Maps to make sure they have better directions into the systems.

Great stay!

We chose the motel as it was close to Valley of Fire, this motel could be a real gem with some upgrades, we could see daylight all around our door and really wasn’t sure the lock would do any good if someone wanted to break in. Bed was good and the Resturant next door was Fantastic!

The room had its water turned off for several hours. We were unable to take a shower,
