Cascade Motel

Lovely people and a good location. We had a very small unit and the noise from the people next door was awful. They were up at 4am and left at 5. The walls were so thin it was very noisy. Fortunately, next door was empty for the next two nights.

Enjoyed our stay very much. From the outside it looks a little rough because they are repainting the cabins but inside is very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this Motel to everyone.

We just left after a fantastic stay! Blew away our expectations and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Wish we could give more than 5 stars!!! Do yourself a favor and book here instead of a run of the mill hotel room.

The cabins are little duplexes, historic and cozy! Close to town, but off the main street just enough to be quiet. Beautiful little spot with super friendly hosts. It was fun to come back to at the end of the day!

This is our first time staying at Cascade Hotel. This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well supplied with kitchen pots/pans/utensils for cooking meals. The bed was comfortable and the one- bedroom cottage we stayed in had plenty of room. Our two daughters and their families stayed in two other cottages and their rooms were also exceptionally clean and well supplied. We enjoyed sitting and visiting around the fire pit. Scott and Darlene are the epitome of hotel owners. They are very welcoming and enjoyable to talk with. They gave suggestions of things for our family to do in the area and places to see. We accidentally left a couple of items in our rooms when we left, and they went out of their way to contact us and attempt to get the items back to us. We highly recommend staying there, in fact, we have booked three nights in October to explore the area.

We can't say enough good things about our experience at this motel. Scot and Darlene were wonderful hosts. We felt like we were guests in their home. The motel is located on the Historic Columbia River Highway and a short distance from the restaurants and sights of Cascade Locks. The motel has separate cottages. Ours was a hotel room type with 2 queen beds, bathroom, microwave and refrigerator. I was traveling with my 2 children and we had plenty of space. Some of the cottages are equipped with kitchens. The room was spotless and so was the rest of the property. The beds were comfortable. There is a gas fire pit with adirondack chairs, gazebo with tables and a grill, and corn hole. Be sure to stop by the office for coffee or hot chocolate. There is a national chain hotel in Cascade Locks but you won't have the nostalgia that this place has. Support local business and stay here.

This was our 5th stay and as always Scott and Darlene made us very welcome. It is a great place to stay for sailing regattas with plenty of space for toys and lots of communal space to BBQ and hang out with friends and other competitors. There is tons to do in the local area so we stayed for a week but thinking 10days + next year. Thanks again for another wonderful stay.

Absolutely lovely motel close to lots of Oregon and Washington attractions with wonderful people running the place; provided fabulous suggestions for the area for both food and hiking. Would definitely stay again.

We loved everything about this place. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. You can't beat the location if you want to be in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge near to all hikes and parks. Close to restaurants, Hood River, wineries, and farms. Rebecca and Greg, Florida

This has become our annual stop after we have been camping in a non-bathroom camper for 1-1/2 weeks. We like to regroup, and this place is fabulous for what we want and need. Rooms are clean, clean, clean. Staff has always been super-friendly (This year, Darlene, the owner, shared homemade brownies with us!) and helpful. This place would also be great for an extended family to rent separate units, and then spend time outside on the spacious yard.
