Zimbali Coastal Resort - Luxurious Apartments

After a 6 hour journey we arrived at the Capital Zimbali but main reception staff denied knowing about the apartment. We discovered the apartment is let by a private host and the hotel are fully aware of this. The reception could not have been any more unhelpful. A security guard kindly escorted us to the Welcome Centre, where a gentleman telephoned the main hotel and patiently explained that we were trying to book into the suite. By now, it had been almost 2 hours since we arrived at the resort. We had tried to call the host but struggled as we had no WIFI and were calling international....it was a complete shambles. We eventually got back to the main hotel, where we found that the host had tried to leave a key with the main reception.....but they refused to hold it. As a result, we were left wandering the resort for 2 hours and the host had to come out of hours to drop a key off (which she had tried to do earlier in the day). This could have all been avoided. The apartment itself was beautiful, with everything we needed. A lovely balcony area, large bathroom and comfortable, large bed. Now that I understand how this works, I would definitely recommend the apartment. You are given codes to get in and out of the resort.....the resort felt safe and the area around was excellent, with beaches, shops, restaurants and bars.

We were not aware that the booking made was not through The Capital Zimbali itself, and that the unit was privately owned. We had to wait 2 hours to gain entry to Zimbali due to the entry code that was not sent to us. We coukd not make use of Zimbali amneties, or order room service. The room had no cleaning service over the time we stayed there. The bath could not be used due to the plug that was leaking. The bathroom light turned off by itself. We paid more for this room which was advertised as a luxery apartment than what we normally pay when booking through The Capital Zimbali direct for the same room thinking it had more to offer. This puts The Capital under a bad name as the unit is in The Capital. Was expecting the same service we usually get from this establishment.

If you can please remove Propr from your listing. They have terrible service and the room was smelling wet, no aircon, the people we tried to reason with them with no luck. You truly have lost me and any one relate to me. I will be putting this to hello Peter as one of us could have gotten hurt due to wet floors and also getting sick due the smell and no air-conditioned rooms. Truly disappointed and I will never book through you again. What is the most painful part is it was my birthday on Wednesday and the lies that were sold in your advert truly messed up my stay

Location is great, easy access to all facilities and Restautant's. Room excellent and clean. Communication between property consultant and myself excellent. Will definitely consider this accommodation again.
