1893 Hotel Boutique

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. Last year, the trip was very good and I liked the fact the property was a bit quirky. This year, I thought the property had gone downhill a bit. Access to both the property and room is now all digital with nobody around when you arrive. Last year there was a nice lady who made me feel very welcome and was able to sell me a beer after my long journey. Now breakfast doesn’t start until 9 am, which is a bit late if you are on the road, and I thought the whole ambience in the property was very sterile.

No human being present when I arrived. Nobody behind the bar, just a vending machine. Atmosphere nothing like it was last year.

La habitación que nos tocó (Violeta) es muy bonita, cómoda y acogedora, también estaba muy limpia. La ubicación es buena, a unos 10 minutos andando de la cascada de El salto de la novia y a 5 minutos de unos de los dos restaurantes del pueblo: Altomira, muy bueno por cierto, pese a que está dentro de un cámping. El desayuno también está muy bueno, es un bufet no demasiado grande pero con todo lo necesario y bueno, sobre todo la tortilla de patatas.

No hay nada que no me haya gustado. Lo único que podría sugerir sería que hubiera una mini nevera en la habitación. Por otro lado, pese a que hemos dormido bien, la cama de muelles es un poco dura.

Toen we aankwamen was er daar niemand Gelukkig was er daar een vrouw die goed de uitbaaster kende en die heeft ze opgebeld en zo konden we binnen anders mochten we in de auto slapen 😪 Het ontbijt is 9 euro per persoon maar dat is het echt niet waard Je kunt daar avondeten maar het zijn tapas en niemand kan een woord engels laat staan iets in het nederlands Voor mij geen 2 de keer
