Tembo Guest Lodge

I did not book breakfast but the stay was great. Super excellent rooms for rest and rejuvenation before taking on the next day because Mpumalanga is an outdoor province. Ideal for all the tourist attractions for a 200KM radius if you love mountain pass driving with great panoramic views or even day visits to Kruger National Park.

Location was central

Pictures misleading, views of a construction site, pool image and location misrepresented, Food served was terrible and overpriced, definitely felt ripped off on overall experience

Property almost charged me 3 times the cost because I made modifications and cancellations with in the free period. If I didn’t catch the mistake myself they would have overcharged me over 5700 ZAR ($465 CDN). Management staff originally told me that they didn’t receive my money even though they took my money as soon as I make the reservations. Booking.com did not indicate that FREE CANCELLATION is only for greater than 30days even though some of the days of your reservation may be less than 30 days. Property also charges their banking fees to you. Which doesn’t make sense. This is the cost to do business and should not be charged to the customers. It took a lot of correspondence but I eventually got my funds back after 7months.

What annoyed me about this hotel. They will ask you to make extra payment for your booking to appear on their system. Like what does that have to do with what I booked. Imagine being exhausted and they inform you that your booking isn’t on their system yet
