Ethnic Studio Apartment Ubud

Location was perfect for me as I was there to do sports. The studio was fresh and clean.

Toilet was a little bit smelly (probably the floor drain), but that didn’t bother me too much. In the studio itself it didn’t smell. I was getting a little too many WhatsApp messages from the staff or manager. I understand that they believed it was good customer service, but for me, who appreciate privacy, it was really unnecessary.

Spacious, location and staff

We really enjoyed our stay at Ethnic Studio apartment. It was probably the cleanest place we stayed in our 3 weeks in Indonesia. The single apartment is above a staff area for the Ethnic Villas, which are quite separate from the apartment. You go upstairs to your own private courtyard which leads to the apartment. The apartment is set back from the street so it is quiet, some sounds from roosters and dogs in the area the only noise. The kitchen is really good, gas cooktop, good size fridge, large sink. The two cooking pans were both fry pans, perhaps a saucepan with lid would be a good addition. There is plenty of space in the apartment, it is a generous size for two people. The aircon was quiet and very effective. The bathroom includes an LG top loading washing machine, which we used several times, it was very handy. Clothes dry on a rack in the courtyard. There were staff on site most of the time, they were lovely people and very helpful, including organizing transport for us when we left. There are several places to eat nearby, the neighbours on each side of the entrance to Ethnic are both small restaurants / sit-down warungs, we enjoyed food at both of them and prices are good.

We loved our stay, no complaints. It is a long walk to central Ubud, between 2 and 3 km to the palace. We walked it without problems each day, but it was very hot. However the distance is a good thing too - the location of Ethnic Apartment is more peaceful and quiet, central Ubud is extremely crowded and busy.

It was a pleasant and great stay . Mr.Agung was exceptional in his service. He himself picked and dropped us from airport. Staff service was also good as daily room was cleaned. Will definitely stay one more time when i come back to Ubud !!

This place is very comfortable, quiet and in addition the caretaker took care of it. It is close to all attractions, cafes, restaurants.

Best host, nice stuff, apartment is at the north location of Ubud, far from the busy downtown area but close enough to reach the center by motorbike (10min max). Small store, coffee, restaurant are just 3-5min walk. The flat is very private, no noisy neighbors around since it is the only flat on the first floor. Spacious and well-equipped, smart tv, washing machine, kitchen, water fountain… Best value for the price in Ubud. Would come back here without thinking next time.
