GBWe have loved just about everything about this place. Gill, our host is a treasure trove of knowledge about the local area and definitely enriched our stay with tips on where to go for meals and what to do. Everything she recommended was a hit! We stayed in the workshop suite, a two bed cottage. We love everything about it. The cottage is well appointed. Every modern convenience without loosing its country charm. Even though it’s a self catering cottage, we had breakfast with the main house guests twice and it was great! The homestead itself has got a rich and interesting history and is set in a beautiful garden. We enjoyed speaking with older members of the family who have a deep history and love for the home and the community. We’d recommend this to anyone and we will definitely stay here again if in the area.
