Lovely host, clean, has everything you need

Martin and his wife are lovely. Extremely attentive, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Offered great information about the local area. We met Tyson Fury at the local cafe so girls were happy, a lovely guy. The local Pub The Smugglers Den was warm and welcoming and very well priced. The facilities at the cottage are very good and pretty much everything you need, Would offer suggestions of adding something to dry clothes/wet towels etc i brought an airer (£10) at locol shop to do this. The shower is great! The size of the cottage is good for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The hot tub is a great addition, especially when you have been walking all day around the lake district! We stayed for 10 nights using it as our base to travel in a 2 hour radius to make the most of our visit. Best of both worlds The Lake District and beaches offering beautiful yet very different days out. A lot of historical places to visit also Lancaster Castle is great. The cottage is in a great location for a lovely short walk to the beach and sea front, with a variety of local pubs, restaurants, and shops to suit everyone. Overall, it is a great little cottage to stay in and plenty around to see and do if you're willing to travel about. I highly recommended it and would visit again in the future. The Negatives, The small double bed. We didn't sleep great. Legs felt higher than our heads (falling head-first). The base felt like it was going to fall apart, and the mattress just felt springs but easily sorted with a higher quality mattress and base! There's a large overgrown Blackberries bush at the end of the garden you have to fight with to put the bins out, but it's great if you're wanting fresh fruit on breakfast!! There were quite a few flies. Parking is a bit of a fight if you have been out all day. I had to park in neighbouring street a few times but safe enough. You don't need an alarm clock while there as the local church bells ring at 7am everyday. These are easily rectified and would make this a 5* place to stay! These are personal opinions. Some may see it differently. So don't let it determine your stay here as not major issues just preference/suggestions.

Not a deal breaker at all, but blinds didn’t block any light in the bed room, and with it being summer it was very light in there at 9pm.

location is literally a few minutes from the promenade so in a quiet street. Everything was just a short walk away. Lovely little place with everything you need for a break. I would definately return, and choose this place again.

It rained, so the awning over the hot tub could have done with being a bit bigger, as it meant that it collected water in the middle, and dripped out, but apart from that it was all good.

The property was absolutely lovely everything we needed very peaceful too my girls loved the hot tub fantastic stay will 100% be staying there again

The place was really nice and clean. The bed was really comfortable and the hot tub was a good way to relax. The owners make the extra effort to make your stay even better than you expect it to be.
