Perfect location (off high street). WiFi

Bathroom is accessible only through one of the bedrooms. Two settees in the lounge are very uncomfortable. The curtain in the bathroom is see-through and also came down on the first night of our stay as it was not fitted properly. No allocated parking space or off street parking space.

The house is nicely decorated and homely! The location is excellent and the facilities are good. It's great that there's a shower room! And two toilets! It's also very nice to have some outside space.

There's no freezer or washing machine.

The property allowed me to bring my pet, at a fee, which was really appreciated. The weather was so pleasant while we were there, but we did manage to squeeze in the use of one of the fireplaces one evening, and it was really cosy. I was in the room without the en-suite, street facing - the bed was amazingly comfortable and very quiet (except Monday morning for bin collection). Overall, the property is really nicely decorated and has a well appointed kitchen with all of the necessities - small additions would make it even better. The location was brilliant, couldn’t beat it. We were also given early check in and late check out.

Inspection / reporting & fixing of faults - the biggest issue was the fact we couldn’t use the bath (it’s a stand alone and the foot was broken making it unsteady) which was one of three main criteria for booking the property. It was a real disappointment and this impacted my facilities and value for money ratings. We did speak to the owner, but unfortunately it was a weekend and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. The cleaning service should have reported the flaw to enable the owner to fix it. Provision of hand towel downstairs, tea towels / oven mittens, kitchen basics like salt / pepper / olive oil, waste bin in the street facing room would be good additions and contribute to even more comfort.

It was very clean, decorated neutrally and nice linen/towels.

Big disappointment was that the bins were full from previous guests and the host expected us to carry it through the house. There was no space for our rubbish and we didn’t need to be messaged three times about it. We did it but it was not fair to ask guests to do this when previous guests have filled the bins completely. The hairdryer doesn’t give out hot air, it should be replaced.
