Great location and the breakfast spread was excellent

Great location from which to explore area. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was notable - good range and very freshly cooked. It needed to be ready for us as soon as the restaurant opened for breakfast at 07.30 and it was spot on in terms of quality and availability. Very comfortable room.

Nothing really an issue although parking was a bit tight as a function was on.

The hotel is lovely and is in a great location! Very clean, housekeeping staff 5* as the rooms were lovely, clean and tidy!

Unfortunately the customer service really let the experience down. At check-in, a bald member of staff told us it was absolutely fine to pay for our two rooms at check-out. However, during our stay, another staff member with dark hair and a large beard approached us to say the hotel had attempted to take payment because they’d “had people book two rooms before and not pay.” I found this quite uncomfortable and honestly insulting, particularly as we had already been told paying at check-out was acceptable. If payment during the stay was actually hotel policy, this should have been clearly explained from the start rather than making guests feel distrusted afterwards. The inconsistency between staff and the way the situation was handled left a poor impression overall. It's ashame as there was one female staff member with dark hair that was very helpful, welcoming and hard working.
