Regular visitors since pre covid and whilst the standard of cleanliness and customer service are always excellent it is pleasing to see the ongoing improvements to the fabric of the business. Outstanding value for money.

Booked one night stay for Thurs, close for Skipton visit on Friday. Deluxe double room with garden view in annexe. Had a great night's sleep and a great cooked breakfast. They could do better with the coffee though.Didnt use the restaurant but did pop in for a drink at the bar, very nice and pleasant decor, would have used the bar for longer but was very crowded with a wedding booking and most tables reserved.On the whole a very pleasant stay and would recommend

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The breakfast was excellent and prices for rooms and food was very reasonable.

The hotel was in a good location, bus stops right outside so easy access to local towns. The sheep out the window were cute. The food was really good and pleanty of it. The TV in the room wasnt tuned in, took 4 attempts to fix that. The bedside lamp wasnt plugged in and the bed was blocking the plug and was too heavy to move, even with two of us trying. The room was lovely and cold on a very hot days arrival, left the room for dinner, came back to damp clothes. I wish I had spoken to the hotel staff they were very nice and helpful...they probably would have fixed these issues. 7/10 would stay again but in a different room.

It's always a very good stay at The Old Trough. A tiny suggestion though: could you find a mattress or two with a bit more support?

Staff friendly ,met our needs ,enjoyed breakfast and would go again ample parking and next to a good bus service
