The location was terrific, the decor was top notch, the service was great and the room was excellant. I would highoy recommend.

The sink has a very low faucet and its difficult to use. Also, the drain inn the sink was very slow and backed up easily.

Great location, very modern and clean building.

The room had no physical way of locking the door from the inside (chain/deadbolt etc), which I thought was standard in all hotels. When I raised this with staff they told me that there was no need for concern as the floor/room required a key card, and they would not give one to anyone else. I did not find this reassuring as mistakes do happen, and obviously staff have access. Especially in light of the Travelodge incident in the news at the moment I would strongly encourage the hotel to add physical internal locks. Until this is done, I would not recommend this hotel for solo travellers (especially women). Wifi was practically non-functional, which as there is no phone signal makes this not really suitable for a work trip.

The staff were charming, extra polite and caring. They sorted out a discrepancy over the size of the bed very efficiantly without hesitation. Delightful a real asset to the hotel. Location was brilliant and within easy walking distance fron Oxford station.

The original description of the bed as extra large was incorrect. The service in the restaurant and bar was very slow (we had to give up waiting for a coffee. Service at lunch was slow and confused ( but staff so polite it was forgiven)

A beautifully restored hotel right in the middle of Oxford. The location could not be beaten. The staff were amazing - all so friendly, professional and helpful. Our deluxe twin was lovely and we were impressed that our luggage was put in our room for us. The mini bar items were great and free! The hotel takes pride in its past as a department store and there are lots of reminders of this, with a book in the room and an old postcard welcoming us. The restaurant was great and the welcome drinks a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be back.

There was nowhere to put folded clothes like jumpers. A chest of drawers is needed. My mum commented that the shower was slippy and that a shower mat should be provided. The restaurant is quite pricy.
