Jacobite house

So this hotel was in the heart of Inverness, a short walk to everything Inverness has to offer. It is a walk-up, so suitcases were hard to manage to the top floor. The room was great, bed was comfy, the shower pressure was amazing!

Would have been good to know there is no lift. Carried a 25kg suitcase up to the top floor up the stairs and definately a challenge bringing that back down the stairs. Thankfully had my brother in law with me to help lift the luggage, would be difficult if I was on my own. If I had known I was on the top floor and no lift I would have only grabbed clothes and toiletries for the one night stay. Parking was quite a distance, parked at the train station, be prepared for a bit of a walk back to the accommodation.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, allerdings ist Inverness auch insgesamt sehr überschaubar. Der Herr vom Hauskeeping war äußerst freundlich, lustig und zuvorkommend. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war vollkommen in Ordnung. Im Zimmer gab es ausreichend Kaffee und Tee. Das Bett war völlig in Ordnung und bequem.

In der Beschreibung fehlt der eindeutige Hinweis, dass sich die meisten Zimmer im dritten Stock befinden und nur über eine sehr steile Treppe erreichbar sind. Die Ausstattung ist äußerst minimalistisch. Das wenige Mobiliar von ziemlich schlechter Qualität. Die Dachfenster waren nicht geputzt und stark verkotet (Möwen).

There are 3 enormous flights of stairs to carry suitcases up, with no lift. The bed was uncomfortable. There was nowhere to sit your suitcase to open it.

Very central location to city centre and public transport. Shared kitchen was very useful and had everything you needed

Codes to unlock tge door only worked on the first day and the card in your locked box was hit and miss.

Close to pubs, clubs and live Scottish music across the road. Easy access and checkout and close to tour pickup points

Had to carry our heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs but that’s our fault
