Talbooth House & Spa

Beautiful location, fantastic service (the reception even arranged a car to take us to dinner free of charge), lovely pool area, comfortable and quirky room.

Nothing could have been better!

Friendliness of staff. Lovely room on the ground floor. My husband has some mobility issues so this was very welcome. A birthday card for my husband from the staff and an extra birthday dessert in the restaurant was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful finding plasters for my husband after his fall.

Lighting in the car park, especially near the charging points. My 80year old husband had a nasty fall while connecting our car to the charger. In the total darkness he tripped over the slightly raised wooden sleeper separating the grass from the hard surface. His elbow was bleeding heavily and both arms are still bruised and swollen. It was not a good start to our visit!

The uniqueness, the quality, the cosiness, the staff, the facilities were 2nd to none.

The food and the spa

Really enjoyed the spa, I had a facial from Natalie and it was the best facial I’ve had in a very long time. Both restaurants are exceptional although it’s very pricey it’s totally worth it.

The breakfast served was cold by the time it got to the room. Also received dirty tea cups which did get replaced however I don’t think this is acceptable. I also payed for bed and breakfast and got charged on my bill, I have stayed here twice in the last two months. On my first stay I got charged for the room twice and on the second time I got charged for breakfast twice. Again this isn’t acceptable.

Really nice place with beautiful views. Staff very accommodating and attentive, couldn’t have wished for a better stay. Had a complementary upgrade due to some inconveniences caused by others, I couldn’t have asked for a better room.

Hotel and spa were excellent and staff could not be more helpful, room was lovely and well equipped.

Would have preferred a restaurant on site although there was a car to take us to and from hotel and restaurant for meals We thought the meals were a little expensive

Our rooms were smaller than we have had in the past

I was amazed how accommodating they were, especially taking us to their sister restaurant Le Talbooth, and then brining us back to the hotel. And room service was spot on.
