GBHonestly, not much. If you get a bottom bunk I think it'd be cosy and the beds aren't terrible. But when we got there we were told we couldn't use a bottom bunk even though there was nobody else using them. Top bunk's don't get curtains and the ladder is terrible (I've stayed in 50+ hostels). The pool table was a nice touch. Each bed has a handy cubby hole to store your small stuff
The price on booking.com is not the price you'll pay. Originally when we booked it was 10R per bed. The price we were forced into paying was 35R per bed. The price was the only reason we chose this place! The man at reception is one of the least polite, and most passive aggressive people I've met in 14 months of travelling. We obviously only stayed one night and he tried to withhold our 50R deposit because we didn't have the receipt he gave us the day before (but made no mention that we'd need it for a refund of the deposit). Eventually he gave in but you could tell it hurt him on a deep personal level to not get his own way. Control freak The place itself feels like a prison, quite old and outdated. There was a bad smell in the common area and the toilet in our dorm had a blocked overflowing sink and mould on the floor. The dorm room is quite small if fukl. Please remember I am not a princess and have been in some hovels in my time. This is genuinely bad

The staff did the minimum to the place. Same pieces of paper and garbage around on the floor for the 3 days I was there. Surely they could go around and pick it up. Couple times during my stay I asked for toilet paper but the staff ignored it. I also asked the staff to turn the fans in the communal area, we were 3 guest sitting but the guy in reception just walked away. The curtains in the buckets hang with rips and broken holders, not good at all. The sheets had holes and rips. The management should go and stay there for few days to experience it and see what needs to be done.
