The Aurora Subic Hotel Managed By HII

Front desk staff were very nice. Nice pool in the upper deck, stylish lobby atmosphere. Room and bathroom size was Ok.

We stayed at room 904. Paper thin walls. I had the most unpleasant sleep ever in a hotel. Could the building materials be that bad or was it the design? You could hear doors outsode closing, noisy footsteps above our floor until past 1am (I complained about this at midnight but the footsteps continued) , cars passing by EVEN if we were already on the 9th floor..geez get a better sliding door that is soundproof! Breakfast coffee at the cafe tasted so bad...really sorry but it really tasted horrible! The bed and pillows were big but just wasn't that relaxing..can't explain why maybe the material or quality was so-so.

Poor housekeeping. Very cursory clean, items not replaced or replenished. Dirty coffee cups left behind. Room was not cleaned after the first night despite the please clean the room light on for a significant period of time and we left the hotel for several hours twice. Later in the evening a note was left. Also unable to find my booking on arrival despite sending me a message earlier asking for arrival time

Close to what I wanted to go. Staff exceptional and professional, very pleasant.

The one thing although not a big issue is maybe a more choices for breakfast.

They really should clean the glass at the pool. You almost can’t see through it

Though the staff are pretty nice & accommodating, the facility itself is too pricy in my opinion. I stayed in Hiltom in various countries including the ones in Maha & Clark, & also stayed in EDASA Shangrila. For a barely 2 star hotel, Aurora is over priced. To add to that, their breakfast options were below par. By the way, they fumigated the day of my stay so the chemical smell was very strong in my floor throughout my stay & the smell was also. in my pillows & bedding. Poll was okay.
