El Destino Suites

Very nice and fresh accommodation! Super clean, everything is new, I loved our sunset evenings at the little terrace, stunning views and extremely peaceful. We got married in Imerovigli and stayed there for 5days which also was 20min walk to Fira for a nightlife, and after all of our guests left we loved that we moved to El Destino Suites in Akrotiri, because it gave us a sense of piece and enjoy the moment vibe after a busy weeding week. However, If you decide to stay here, it is a must have to get a car or a quad or other type of transport because you won't be able to walk to the nearest town as it's 30min walk with no dedicated paths, and there are no restaurants/cafes/shops in the area, apart from one hotel where our friends stayed and we had lunch with them but otherwise there is no where to eat and not sure if hotel allows strangers. But apart from that, depending on what type of holiday you like, it is a great location as long as you have your own transport and if you prefer a very calm and secluded destination then it is for you.

Since there are no shops, cafes and restaurants around the area, I wish this apartment had a little hob, (even a portable one) for those who need it just in case, to make breakfast or lunch, because on our last day we gave our quad back, because we wanted to take taxi to the airport and it was a struggle to find any food, and we couldn't drive anywhere, and ended up checking out earlier and going back to Fira to have our late breakfast and lunch. ( I wish that the jacuzzi was heated, as was chilly in the evening as water was cold )

The very friendly staff, Maria is attentive and helped us throughout the stay, she saved us from many problems, we were able to trust with our eyes closed. It’s a beautiful place with a great view! Great for lovers

Check in was very uncomplicated, I just told the hostess my expected arrival time via WhatsApp and she answered my messages very fast and was there on time to hand me the keys and give some instructions, the apartment and the pool are very modern and clean, bathrobes and towels for the pool are available in the closet so you don't have to bring your own, the view over the caldera with Oia and Fira in the background is phenomenal, parking is available next to the apartment and free

it wasn't an issue for me because I got a rental car anyway but if you don't get a car you might need to know that restaurants and supermarkets are located quite far away, but I heard there's a possibility to order food and get it delivered to the apartment (I didn't try it though)

The suite is wonderful, luxurious and very clean. The hot tub with the view of the caldera is absolutely fantastic. The suites are situated in a more remote area of the island providing an amazing tranquility away from the crowds.

The restaurant options close to the suits are somewhat limited. Not a problem if you have a car or order food.
