Surya Beach Resort Palawan

Sehr ruhige Lage, zuvorkommendes Personal und trotz schwieriger Zufahrt sehr gute Versorgung

Zufahrt miserabel, da sehr schlechte Straße jenseits der Hauptstraße.

The actual resort was amazing, beautiful little beach 🛖 huts, cool little lagoon area, mini beach bar to go with it.

The road out there is a negative 10, unfortunately I understand the current state of things in the Phillipines, I just wish the ride out was a bit more finished. With the amount pot holes and giant rocks. The danger is very real, do not attempt if you have weak tires or a very low vehicle. Our neighbors at the time were super loud.

Jätte vackert ställe och vacker strand. Om man tycker om privat strand och egen tid är detta perfekt.

Vägen dit är väldigt dålig och lång. Finns inget i närheten så man behöver boka en moped för att ta sej fram. Finns inga andra restauranger i närheten.

The employee Jerry was very nice, helpful and competent. He deserves a 10.

The stay would be a complete disaster if not Jerry would have made everything he could to make our stay pleasant he deserves a 10. The worst thing is that we left this place with more than 50 bug bites each especially at the back from the bed bugs during the night. We are itching now for more than two days heavily and everything is swollen. On top of this, the room was not really clean when we came. On the beach itself there were several sharp glass objects so it was very dangerous to walk on the beach, which is also not very long or clean. Jerry was a very good cook but he didn’t had several ingredients so the selection of food was limited. Even more the drink selection was limited. Now we know why we were the only guests. The memory of this place is long itching and swelling.

Some information/costs were not that clear. However, the staff, including the manager handled this well.

I liked the fact it was close to a beach i like the fact they had massage at resort to and manager was really nice as well. I disliked that bugs would come in my room sometimes, disliked the location cause road is in terrible shape definitely needs fixing, disliked that ac and fan would never be on consistently and i knkw black outs are common in pslawan so im not blaming resort for that thsts beyond their control, dislike fact staffs english was limited and so was menu of food to at times things werent available. The shower was also an issue could only use small one for some reason and thst had very little pressure in it

The road is a single lane dirt road with lots of pot holes. If you have a vehicle that doesnt have a high ground clearance, you just might be scraping the road

ALERT!!! 🚨 Do yourself a favour and do NOT book at this location. The main reason is the number of sand flies in the area. Basically, you’ll end up being forced to spend most of your days inside your room that can only be described as very basic. The “resort” is definitely not worth the money you get charged. The price point should be more around AU$ 60 per night, not the AU$ 153 we paid. The day tours advertised are in fact not doable due to the remote location of the resort. We tried to book 2 of them and both times we’ve been told it was not possible to arrange transportation. You’ll end up getting stuck in a “hotel” with very limited food and beverage options (the menu looks extended but, once again, when you try ordering you’ll find out that many options are not available). Food is passable but definitely the worst I had in the Philippines, and portions are also very small. 🛑 🚑 NOTE: I’ve found myself forced to cut my stay short due to the number of sand flies bites. My body was fully covered (photos attached) and I had to get medicine to stop the swelling/pain (last photo are my legs after 2 days of having left this resort and received medical treatment) My idea of a holiday is definitely not being in bed, trapped under a mosquito net for days..My husband and I had no options but to leave earlier and the manager of the property refused any sort of compensation. We ended up having to move to Puerto Princesa and paid for another accommodation. Very disappointing. I understand we made a very bad decision when selecting this resort, and it was totally our fault. I would have stayed there the entire trip and sucked it up, but the fact that it was physically impossible for me to stay there, well I think we should have been given a refund. Since our return I contacted Booking.com customer service but, after many phone calls and emails, all I have been able to obtain is compensation for 1 night out of the 3 we had to cancel
