Tazart Lodge

We had an amazing stay , the host was kind and he went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed ,the apartment was nice clean and comfy with a great view to the high mountains of the valley

This property is on a main road in Ourika Valley. The one bedroom apartment is the same as in the photos. Very tidy and beautifully decorated. We use the kitchen during our stay and the owner kindly provided us with the pots and other cooking equipment. The area is very beautiful and surrounded by nature. You can do a lot of walking along the river. Breakfast is very generous and we had lunch in the restaurant once. As we stayed in December, it was a bit cold however there are heaters in the living room and bedroom. Rooftop terrace has amazing views.

We are currently staying at Lodge Kazart, and we are experiencing significant issues with our accommodation. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no kitchen equipment provided, and only two towels were available for four people. The staff at the accommodation appears to be unwell, displaying symptoms of respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19, but they are still preparing food without wearing respirators. Additionally, none of the staff speaks English, despite the hotel description stating otherwise. The most pressing problem is their inability to provide keys to the building. We can only exit the building between 9 AM and 9 PM, as the doors are locked outside of these hours. Furthermore, the doors are also locked during the day, and we must wait for staff to unlock them. The booking mentioned a private entrance, but this has not been the case. Moreover all the building smells terribly with chemicals all something like that. It is the worst in the restaurant, or cafe area. Earliest possible time for breakfast at 9:30 is perfect joke if you want to go for hike ... We don't feel safe, and we are concerned about the security of our belongings. Our parking is not private, as it takes place on the street where we have our bikes and many other possessions.

When we arrived at the lodge we were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner. He was very kind and friendly. The room was spacious for our family of 5. Although, we were there for only 2 nights, we really enjoy our stay. The heater was a must for the weather in December, as it gets very cold up there. The hot water was refreshing and something we took for granted back at home. The free complimentary breakfast was simple but delicious. We also appreciate the convenient parking space was right across the street. We also had dinner prepared there at on our 2nd night. The staffing at the lodge was delightful and it made our stay all the worth while.

Although the heater was appreciated, it was not sufficient for the the how cold it was. We couldn't have both heater on as it kept tripping the breaker. The tajine we ordered was a bit bland compared to other we had served elsewhere.

Nice location, clean and spacious

It is not meant for winter stays. No heat or or air-conditioning to heat the room at night. We had multiple blankets each and woke up multiple times during the night because of cold. I would definitely return in summer when temperatures outside at night are more tolerable.
