The Host Moufid was truely a highlight. He gave us a lot of tipps, took care of us and made us feel like at home.

Moufid would have to be the most attentive manager I have ever come across and his boss should pay him more to keep him - a real asset to any hospitality operator. The riad was immaculate, the food was delicious and the location was very good also. For guests booking be sure to give Moufid your WhatsApp contact and he will meet you and walk you to the riad - it’s easy to get to but much less stress if you arrange this ahead of time.

Best accommodation ever👍

The most amazing aspect of the stay was Moufid. What a superb host. From even before we arrived he went out of his way to help. We stayed as a family of four in a ground floor room and had plenty of space. The property is located within the maze of the medina but it still has relatively easy access to the main road when arriving by taxi. The beautiful courtyard and amazing traditional breakfasts completed a very enjoyable stay.

Moufid is the BEST host that we’ve had in the whole of our travels across Morocco! We stayed in 6 hotels in different cities of Morocco, he is simply the best. He is the only host that enquired after any food allergies and watched out for our arrival and greeted us from the street so that we don’t get lost in the maze of the Fes medina; when our tour bus didn’t show up for 50mins after the scheduled meeting time, Moufid went out of his way to contact the tour agency and waited with us on the street until the tour bus arrived. Christmas and new year is the tourist high season in Morocco, we’ve had plenty of hotel hosts not responding, not cleaning the rooms properly but the Riad Chahd truly lives up to its name of ‘Luxury’. Our 12 year old remarked that it is the best hotel experience he’s ever had since he was born and that certainly is a very high praise. The courtyard was so comfortable, we could hardly get him out of the hanging chair by the fountain! The Riad is definitely one of the most beautiful, most well cared for and the most cost effective places we stayed in. Considering it is right inside of the Riad, and right in the middle of the Christmas and new year celebration, its position and room design means it is very quiet and peaceful all the time. A true oasis in an ancient medina. Not to mention the dinner is sensational.

Moufid was execellent, came out to collect us and contacted us beforehand on WhatsApp. He gaves lots of helpful info. Room was massive even though we had the smallest room still it was massive. Room was nice and heated for us as we visited in winter.

The house was so old and was a great experience staying.

Parking was a bit away from the property.

The bedroom was even more beautiful than expected and the whole place was wow! What made the stay so special was the care and attention from Moufid. He was the most genuine person and an asset to the hotel, he really made us feel safe and at home and this really made our stay!

Moufid was an exceptional host, and came to meet us to take us to the Riad. The Riad looks exactly as described. It's spotlessly clean, feels luxurious and grand. We arrived a little late and didn't want a big dinner. Moufid prepared a light dinner for us which was perfect. He took time to explain things to us, offered us tea when we arrived, gave us tips about the Medina and was on hand to answer any questions we had while out and about. Everything about our stay was amazing. Moufid even upgraded our room which was really kind. We were tired so spent our night just relaxing and the riad was quiet, even through the night we weren't disturbed by noise. We are vegan and Moufid was very caring and attentive to that, which was appreciated. We had a driver to take care of us, so we didn't walk around too much on our own, so I can't comment much on location and accessibility. We would definitely stay here again!

Moufid is an excellent host, very friendly and gives you good explanations about what to do in and around the Medina. He also comes to pick you up in the taxi on the first day to get to the riad.
