Good hotel for a Manila stopover

The room is spacious and modern and has lots of space to unpack. We had a great view of Manila Bay. I liked having a way to refill water bottles and not waste single use plastic, however, it would be nice if the pitcher could be already filled at the start of the stay. The shower pressure and ammenities are great and the beds (not the pillows) are comfy. The elevators are quite fast too. The rooms are quiet. The location is very good too. It is very close to some good restaurants and centrally located to reach Rizal Park, Intramuros and even Mall of Asia. The porters and lobby staff are very friendly.

Breakfast frankly wasn't great. Would've been nice to have had better bread (like, not white, but whoe grain), fresh buns (not old), butter and also some fruit and/or fresh juice rather than boxed. The hair drier in the rooms is nice and powerful but the curled coil is awful, particularly since the location of the plugs and the mirror wasn't well thought out and it unplugs if you pull it. The aircon is quite noisy (definitely not white noise) and the on and off energy saving function means it wakes you up all night when it turns on. The shower design isn't great either, as the length of the protecting glass and the lack of a curtain or additional door means the water splashes all over, soaking the bath mat. The pillows were way too bulky. It's nice to have one slightly harder than the other, but both pillows gave us neck aches. The rooftop could definitely be improved to enjoy the view and maybe add a bar to watch the sunset and have a drink.
