Royal Rooms Portici

The room is very spacious, bright, clean. Marco was very friendly and polite. The courtyard area is just beautiful. The location is great. The courtyard is quiet and calm.

Our room was clean.

Very hard to find. Had to pass through 2 locked gates which we could not access. We waited 30 minutes with luggage in hand, unsure what to do. Very unsafe. Manager hard to contact. Directions arrived too late for us. These directions should have been sent to us ahead of time! In bathroom, shower had dispensaries for shampoo & conditioner that had fallen off shower wall, cracked on shower floor and shampoo was all over shower floor. Kitchen had not been cleaned in a while and trash was full. No blanket on bed. There were spare pillows, but no pillowcases.

Property was hard to find, was behind 2 locked gates which we had no access pass for, remote host by phone had poor English and didn’t understand me. It was not a hotel but an apartment in an apartment building that was divided into 3 rooms. Building dark, isolated and in poor repair. There was no one to help us, nowhere to leave our bags, no coffee in the morning and nowhere to get food. This was totally misrepresented. We would never have stayed here. It was scary and we SHOULD BE REFUNDED

Nice owner, the apartment is very clean, cozy and safe. Excellent location near the sea and all attractions, for example Herculaneum can be reached on foot.

Great bathroom. Nice soap/shampoo. Fresh towels. Spotless clean BUT there were ants in the apartment.

Ants coming from under the bed ruined it for us, as apartment was spotless otherwise. Warning: open the main door before putting your key into room lockbox. We hadn’t realised the main door to common area was double locked but had put the keys into lockbox - tried calling contact but no answer from property manager - we had to climb out the window (luggage and all!).

Access to the beach /see 3km far away
