ZM Residence

- Impressed with the cleanliness - Great for the price - Great communication, very accommodating and helpful and friendly host. - Quieter at night compared to other accommodations we’d stayed at in the Philippines. - Walked approx 8 minutes from ferry - Bed comfortable with two pillows each - Quite out the main tourist area (we were the only westerner tourists we noticed in Dapa during the 7 days that’s we stayed) unsure if it was the season - 3 minutes walk to local bus station, we paid 40 pesos into general luna one way.

- It was further out from general luna than we anticipated, not much to do around the area by foot… but this was our own fault for underestimating the distance. We were still able to get there via tricycle/tuk tuk. - Just a bug barer for myself - the air conditioning unit was over the electrical box, and directly under the electrical box was our wooden bedframe where we slept. I just thought it was a disaster waiting to happen as we had recently stayed somewhere else where the air conditioning unit leaked water. - The shower only had 1 temperature which was warm/ hot. Which most of the time is great but not when it’s hot and you’ve got sunburn.. a cooler shower option would have been nice

Staff friendly and flexible

Very clean! And the staff are amazing always there to help, also do motorcycle rentals so when I arrived I had a bike waiting for me which was so helpful. Dante is always quick to reply to any messages I had and sorted my transport to and from the airport. Highly recommend this place

Our room was very clean and provided exactly what we needed. Staff were very lovely & we were able to hire a bike from the hotel! Air conditioning worked very well! And the room was quite spacious!

The location is a bit far from general Luna, but it was no problem as we had hired a bike from the hotel! But you would definitely need a bike to get to and from!

Even if the entire island didn't have electricity, the place has a generator to provide us with electricity for air conditioning, light, electric fan, and television for certain times of the day.

At night we woke up sweating. Sometimes the rechargeable electric fan used to alternate the air conditioner does not work. The stairs outside going to our room is made of smooth surfaced ceramic tiles that posed a fall risk. My fiance had a fall during our stay. The caretaker has taken immediate measures to prevent further accident by placing rubberized mat on each steps of the stairs. Siargao is a place that's constantly raining specially at this time.

My husband and I were more than happy with our stay at ZM home stay. We highly recommend for the quiet neighborhood and room close to town and the very clean and spacious room that provided a kitchen and silverware, plates and cups. The beds were comfortable and clean and we had a great sleep.

A lovely little hotel in the heart of Dapa, within walking distance of the harbor. Big clean rooms. Great air conditioning and hot shower, well functioning Starlink wifi. Wide double bed and clean bedding. No visible insects, no ants. Convenient scooter rental directly from the hotel. Absolute value for money and far enough away from the crowds and chaos of General Luna. Big hand and recommendation for this one.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. We missed our ferry to Siargao and he immediately agreed to change our booking without any extra charges - thanks again! He also helped us with renting a scooter to get a good price ;) The apartment itself is very nice and cozy – well-maintained, with a large balcony, fast internet (Starlink) and super clean. For a longer stay a stove and some kitchen tools would be nice :) But there are plenty of restaurants in the area to grab some good food. We highly recommend this residence for a stay in Siargao!

There was nothing I didn't like

The room was very clean and all the important details were provided. This is very good quality for the amount paid, difficult to find in this area. The owner was very attentive and helpful.
