Mad Monkey Siquijor

- The room was very spacious - The bed and sheets were clean - 2 towels were provided each - The pillow was my fave, super comfy - There’s a locker provided per guest - The CR was functional- with a bidet and a hot shower :) - The place has a great ambiance - The Pool was warm and flowing (my fave!) - Staffs were very accommodating - THE FOOD WAS SUPERB!! - Great for making new friends, everybody was friendly

- Water dispenser was located at the reception area, too far away from their resto, hope they can provide 1 in the resto - Breakfast was delicious but it took quite a long time to serve (more than 1 hour hehe) — serving was also big. Good value for money! 💰

The staff was very friendly and helped me with a lot of enquires.

I knew Mad Monkeys was a chain of hostels however I thought it was known for their social activities, not for having a full party until very late. I was actually very sick and did not had an option for a good rest. The beds are so noisy and the 24 bed dorm is just horrible. None of the guests are respectful. I wish I knew this in advance and I would not book at all.

This is definitely not located in a great area for solo travellers, too far from everything you are made to rent a motorbike because otherwise you can only stay in the hostel. They offer tours but it would be great if they actually did the tours I stayed 4 days and wanted to go on the waterfall tour etc so I didn’t have to rent a motorbike but they never went because no one else was signing up because the price is way to expensive as well, so for a solo traveler this is definitely not the place you want to stay.

Fun stay but far from the city.

Really nice staff, they are very friendly. Dan the manager is a very fun guy who is doing a very good job connecting people with all fun drinking games, excursions like snorkling on a powerboat and more! Rooms are clean and tidy. Overall had soo much fun staying at this hostel.

Beds are a bit squeaky, and bring earplugs if you value early sleeps.

It’s super cheap and has a good group of people if you’re travelling.

There were a few concerning things with this hostel. Firstly, the staff weren’t very friendly. We just came from the Mad Monkey in Bohol & this was a completely different experience, so we may have had higher expectations. The food wasn’t great either & there wasn’t many healthy options. They also had no water bottles available for a few days, so unless they had a spare cup or the restaurant was open, we didn’t have access to water, as the location meant there’s no shops locally. There was so many stray cats and dogs, that looked a bit skinny, they were consistently begging for food, which the restaurant staff said they didn’t feed or care for them, which probably led to this issue.
