ASIA JEM HOTEL - GAPAN CITY

The only good about this property is the location and also the room is spacious.

They don’t provide toiletries like shampoo conditioner and soap. There was no toilet paper too, you need to request for one. The breakfast was plated and by the time it was delivered to our room, it was already cold. They don’t pick up the silverware’s automatically. Rooms are not cleaned daily.

Some staff members were nice. Room was clean. Location of hotel was very near the center of the city where we had meetings to attend. Price was okay. Ample free parking. Supermarket just below the hotel.

We were traveling with my 83 year-old mother, and my 55 year-old brother. I am 59 years old. All three of us are persons with disabilities (PWD). We sent a request one week in advance for us to be provided with rooms near the elevator. Our request was not granted. No communication was sent to us about our request. There was no wheel chair in the hotel. My mother had to walk to the far end of the hallway where they placed us.

We used two rooms (one family room and one deluxe suite). The deluxe suite had good air-conditioning, which is essential in Gapan (an extremely hot and humid place). The hotel is in the middle of the City and there is ample free parking.

Although we were provided water in a pail, there was no running water. The family room's air-con was not working properly. We were placed at the farthest end of the hotel despite our advance request since our party included an 83-year old sickly woman and a 59-year old PWD. No wheelchair available. No discount provided in spite of all the shortcomings. The receptionist argued that it was because we booked through Booking.com.

The staff can't assist me well. She always says "Bago lang po ako" which I think is not valid as I was asking regarding the sales invoice issuance, etc.

The longganisa is good

A buffet style meal would have been better
