Sotogrande Hotel Palawan

Their staff are well-mannered but they were not familiar with their rooms. We asked if we could transfer the other people in our party to an adjoining room, if it's the same room type. They said it is but it turned out to be the Standard, as opposed to the Deluxe that we booked. We didn't ask to be transferred back out of respect for those who fixed the adjoining room for us.

Apart from the unfamiliarity with the room types, the rooms we stayed in were not navigable for someone in a wheelchair. I would have expected communication in that regard one way or another. We just lived with it. I hope their 1-BR suite is suitable, and I would have wanted to know that.

The staff were friendly yet professional. The kitchen staff especially Raymond were very accommodating. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast, Raymond always has breakfast made just for my family everyday.

Food availability at the restaurant. If the restaurant says open from 6 am to 10 pm, food should be available during these times. No safe installed in their rooms A table and chair should be provided in the veranda A small portable clothes line could be handy to have too in the veranda Their laundry service needs a lot of improvement. We had our clothes washed but were still wet/damp when we got them back. It took three days when we got our laundry back..

The place is good and clean.

I appreciated that the hotel was located a little away from the city centre, allowing us to enjoy a quiet and comfortable stay. It was also very thoughtful that they provided a wheelchair for my partner to use throughout our entire stay, which made a big difference for us. Additionally, the staff were very helpful in finding the perfect room to accommodate my partner’s needs. All in all, despite some issues with the room cleanliness, I was very happy with our stay. The peaceful location, the staff’s helpfulness in accommodating my partner’s needs, and the thoughtful provision of a wheelchair made our time there much more comfortable.

The cleanliness of the room was unfortunately below expectations. I arrived first because my partner had been hospitalized nearby and had undergone surgery just a day before I booked the hotel. Upon arrival, I noticed that the room was not properly cleaned. I am aware that this does not reflect the usual standard, as I had previously stayed at another hotel within walking distance of the hospital, where the room was cleaned daily and linens as well as other amenities were regularly changed. Had the other hotel not been fully booked, I likely would not have moved to Sotogrande. We spent most of the time in the room, as my partner was unable to walk without a wheelchair and needed rest to recover. The day before our check-out, we went for a medical check-up, I asked the reception to have the room thoroughly cleaned because the bed sheets were already dirty, the pillowcases had not been changed for 10 days, and the floor was dusty. Unfortunately, nothing was done beyond superficially arranging the pillows and blankets — the sheets were not replaced and the floor was not mopped. Additionally, on our first night, I had set aside one towel to help elevate and protect my partner’s foot post-surgery. After that, no new towels were provided unless I went to reception to request them.

So quite, clean, comfortable, spacious and away from noisy busy streets. Staffs are friendly and accomodating. Surely be staying here again the next time i visit the place. Highly recommended.

The swimmingpool is nice and the staff is very friendly and helpfull.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. You see the structure of were they are going to built but for now there is nothing. We are tree evenings alone in the restaurant. It is a 2,5 kilometer to Honda Bay. Ik you are lucky a tricycle will pick you up. The continental breakfast is Oke but the butter we got was to hard to spread it on your bread. Watch out with your kids in the pool. The streamers suck so hard that your kid can get stuck on it. Overall it is a good hotel but it still needs some changes.
