The venue is amazing, the staff are very helpful and always smiling. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The 2 pools are a plus, and the clean beach with clean water is amazing.

Discovery Samal was our favourite place we stayed on our recent Philippine family holiday (of 5 hotels around the country). The Resort environment is stunning and the grounds are immaculate. The staff are super polite and friendly and nothing is too difficult for them. They come as soon as you ask them for a ride to go up to your room or down to the main beach. The way they are cultivating a coral reef is beautiful too! So many swimming options (2 pools or the beach) and also lots of food options. The Dinner Buffet and Cultural Show on at the weekends is excellent too! The Junior Suite room was HUGE and so comfortable (especially the bed) and we really appreciated the complimentary beach bag and sunscreen given on our arrival. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Davao and would highly recommend it to everyone! A+++

I did find it sad that we couldn't bring over our freshly bought fruit and Skyflakes to eat in our room as snacks as no food is allowed to be brought onsite. Also the food at the restaurants needed a little more seasoning and salt & pepper on the tables would be useful.

The hotel is still fresh and clean, the staff is courteous, the surroundings is clean, the buffet breakfast is absolutely extravagant!

We ate the Ala Carte dinner and it was quite disappointing. The shrimp was hard and lacked of flavour. The fried rice was tasteless and had vegetables that tasted like they came straight from the freezer.
