Celestial Hills - Villas & Suites by The Clarks

First i would like to say that we don't like typical crowded hotels. I travel with my husband and we love nature and tranquility.. so villa with mountain view was the best way to relax. The staff met us with smiles, all were very friendly and positive. The villa was spacious with comfortable bed and the terrace with a pool was wonderful to chill. Feeling like we were alone at the hotel ...enjoying warm wind, bird's singing and squirrels around. Special thanks to the cook and two men at the restaurant. All the meal we tried was delicious and made with love. We really felt it and appreciated. Definitely will return one day! All the best🤍

The hotel is not new and some furniture needs to be renovated. But it didn't spoil our stay, because much more we notice the positive things on holidays!)

The customer service was amazing and the scenery was beautiful. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We had a special Xmas Eve dinner hosted by the hotel which was delicious. Although alot of people may be worried to stay since the floods, this property was not affected. The roads and the area were all perfectly fine, we could hardly tell this country had been affected throughout our travels. I would recommend staying at this property to anyone, especially to support local businesses and families that were affected by the floods :)

Nothing! It was further out of of Kandy so plan accordingly, we spent the first half of the day in the city but we enjoyed it getting out in nature as Kandy was so busy so we happy to get peace and quiet.

We loved the staff, super friendly. The room was nice and comfortable.

When it comes to value for money, I think the property is really over valued. Way too expensive. They really need to improve the quality of the food. The quality of the food wasn't good and it was pricey. Major price adjustments needed.

The view from the room it was awesome. Staff is amazing people. If you would like to enjoy nature that is the best place.

It’s complicated to reach the hotel. Will be better if the hotel will provide the transportation from the key points of the city.

I want to give this place a fair review - I was expecting a lot from our stay in this hotel. The view and the surrounding area is just gorgeous, you are in the middle of a lush greenery, listening to the noises of nature and fauna, very relaxing and soothing. Will suit perfectly those who want to escape hustle and bustle of a busy city life. The staff are all smiling and polite and very welcoming. We loved our breakfast, you can choose from a western option or go for Sri Lankan breakfast, we tried both and were happy. We also ordered some lunch and dinner, and the food was great. The hotel is quite far from the beachfront areas or the capital. It wasn't really a big issue for us, though a 6 hour car drive to the place was a bit exhausting towards the end and considering we stayed only 1 full day, having arrived late in the evening on the first day and then leaving at 11 am the day after, we felt it might be a bit of a challenge for many people and not worth it, best to book it for a few more days or keep moving to places nearby as we also had to spend another 6 hours driving back.

I would suggest doing something to the pool water temperature to make it bearable to use as the air is already much cooler up in Kandy and the water was very cold so no use of the pool. The one big fat negative comment I would leave here which is my personal opinion and did spoil a bit our overall feeling of the place is that we were charged 2300 LKR (about 8 USD) for a cut cucumber we requested to bring during lunch time) upon checkout. This is ridiculous and a rip off. If you want to charge for a cut cucumber, you can make it at least a reasonable price considering the price for a 1 kg of cucumbers is around 200 LKR. We did not complain about it or said anything but it left a terrible aftertaste, this is an extremely cheap move. Also, a few extra items were added to our final bill and we had to prove we didnt order those
