Kalamata Cosy Haven Hidden Gem In the City Center

The reasons to take this property: well-equipped flat for your stay. Great WIFI connection. One medium size grocery shop and a pharmacy, just a few steps away. A street parking can be always tricky; however, it is manageable here with this flat. Walking to the Kalamata beach from the flat can be challenging in the summer due to the heat. This flat is located on the ground floor in the residential building.

The reasons NOT to take this property (to name a few): 1) The Communication with the Property Management: The owner outsourced all the BOOKING communication to the third party, called Onehome management. This company is to handle messages ONLY. In case of troubles, the agency does NOT intervene to solve problems for you. 2) The Owner’s Inaccessibility: We had to tolerate with problems during our entire stay, since the owner was out of town, without arranging anything for the flat in case of emergency. No word from the owner during & after our stay. Literally, the owner left us in limbo. ZERO HOSPITALITY-ZERO RESPECT to travelers. 3) The Crib: The large wooden crib was sitting in the middle of the living room upon our check-in (photos); impossible to put it away & fold it. REMINDER: the owner did EXACTLY the same thing in August 2023 to one guest (see review) AND handled the situation in the EXACT identical manner: DID NOTHING. 4) FALSE Info on the Capacity and the Sofa Bed: It is for 3 people, not for 4. No sofa bed; just a sofa to sleep on. (photos) 6) FALSE Info on ACs: ACs are NOT equipped at this property; the “climate control” is installed (exact quote) instead. We begged for help to the agency to have some cool air, but no actions. The sleepless nights with the 28.5 degree air coming in the middle of August in Greece. INTOLERABLE (photo). 7) Deceiving Photos on BOOKING (NEVER luminous)...and MORE. The good ratings are found on BOOKING review, on the condition that no issues were occurred. REMEMBER: WHEN you encounter problems, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN, even if the owner is fully aware of your problems/concerns/complains, loud and clear. After check-out, the agency, not the owner, sent us the apologetic message, being afraid of bad rating from us. We would like to also invite BOOKING to look into this property thoroughly. A message to the owner: is this how you would like to be treated during your holiday?

The pictures showed a house in a gorgeous street. It was not like that. I got a phone call from a lady but I dont know if she was the owner ,but that was all. The apartment was in a basement so not what I expected. The power kept going off and someone came to fix it rushing in and out and what looked like a shoddy job. There was nothing in the apartment - not even a bottle of water. Very poor,

The location is extremely convenient, as it is only a few minutes away from the center of Kalamata and the area has all the amenities one might need nearby. The apartment is really specious and comfortable and also beautifully decorated

Lovely apartment. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Secluded patio where you can enjoy breakfast or evening drinks. Property management were helpful and replied to any queries immediately.

Sometimes difficult to find on street parking close to the apartment.

The apartment is actually stunning! Everything you think of will be in there and more.

Nothing the host can do anything about, there were quite some mosquitos in the garden, which made it less comfortable to sit outside.

I don’t remember giving such a bad rating for an accomodation on booking.com. And I travel a lot (I am genius level 3).The owner or the company behind it managed to show the pictures in a much shiny and cosy way than reality. We perceived him very transactional and with no emphaty on client needs. If you intend to book this apartment, I want to draw your attention on the following things: - It is just an apartment, well furnished, but nothing cosy, nothing charming as the pictures lead you on, at first sight. It is at the groundfloor of a block of flats with people living day-to-day. - Yes, it is just 10 min away from the center, but you have to figure out which street to chose for a confortable experience as many of them are poor, with abandoned houses to pass by. It is our mistake that we didn’t google it before to see the pictures of the neighbourhood - Yes, there is a public parking in front of the apartment, but you need luck to find a place. So, pay attention if you come by car. - Yes, it has a modern cooling system, but everyday, it smelled of garlic when entered the room. We’ve never used the kitchen. - If you have a problem (like the clogged shower drain, we had to cope with), there is no guarantee that somebody is coming to fix it (we had to live with that issue the entire stay, nobody came to fix it) - We had to stay with a baby cradle in the middle of the room, even if we are just a couple with no kids. Please, see the picture. All in all, it was an unpleasant experience and we cancelled the stay on the 3rd day out of the 10 days period initally booked to not ruin our vacation. We let the owner know from the very first day about our decision to cancel the booking on the 3rd day, and to leave the apartment early in the morning, in order to give him time to book it again. However, he decided to cancel the booking on the 4th day sending a weird message. We asked for a refund, which was confirmed by the owner on whapp but declined on booking site.

Location is about 10 minute walk from the main centre where there's lots of great places to eat and drink. There's a great bakery and takeaway gyros place nearby as well as a selection of supermarkets. It's on a residential street - We had a hire car and just managed to find a parking spot in the evenings on that road but it's all free so there were other places we could park if needed. Facilities are top quality and feel recently renovated. Had everything we needed for our stay.

It's minor but there's 1 or 2 families with young kids that live above the apartment. It wasn't a problem for us but sitting outside wasn't always quiet.
