RIAD XO

Beautiful Riad with lots of little touches that make it feel like an oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms were lovely and clean. The standout is the staff, everyone was friendly, kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time and felt comfortable. They even walked us to and from taxis and helped get me some medication when I felt poorly. The provided breakfast and onsite restaurant is also great.

Untrained staff, pool cleanliness and low-protein breakfast; breakfast in general could be improved with more variety of protein sources and vegetables.

The interior and exterior design of the riad was beautiful, with lots of thoughtful decor details that made it feel very aesthetic and perfect for photos. The staff were lovely and attentive throughout our stay, and we were welcomed with mint tea and biscuits on arrival. The riad always smelled fresh and clean, with a lovely orange blossom scent throughout. Our room was cleaned daily and we received fresh towels each day. The air conditioning worked really well, which made the room feel cool and comfortable at all times. The showers were also excellent, with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. We especially liked that they used NUXE products, which smelled amazing. Breakfast was good and changed slightly each morning, which gave us the chance to try a variety of traditional Moroccan breakfast items. We also had dinner at the riad on our first night as we were too tired to go elsewhere, and it was enjoyable and convenient. The check-in system was very efficient, you receive your room key along with an access code for the front door, making it easy to come and go. The staff also helped organise a private airport transfer to the riad and later arranged a taxi for the next part of our trip. Although it costs a little extra, it was definitely worth it for the convenience and peace of mind. Just remeber to have cash to pay the city tax also

There were quite a few flies around the pool area and during breakfast outside, although this seemed common throughout Morocco. The pool could have been cleaned or filtered more often, as there were frequently dead flies in the water. Noise also travels easily, so you can hear people talking and moving around, but that’s somewhat expected in this type of accommodation. If you enjoy sunbathing, note that there are no designated sunbeds, although you can still sit in the sunny outdoor area by the pool. One small thing to be aware of is that the toilet water can splash when flushed, so it’s best to keep the lid closed.

I only stayed at Riad XO for one night, but I genuinely wish I had booked longer. The riad has an absolutely beautiful design — stylish, elegant, and full of atmosphere. Every corner felt thoughtfully curated, and the terrace was especially stunning, with such a relaxing and aesthetic vibe. I also really enjoyed the restaurant and the overall ambiance of the space. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and comfortable from the very beginning. Even though my stay was short, Riad XO left a very positive impression on me, and I would definitely love to come back on a future trip to Marrakech.

The staff couldn’t do enough.. the smell everywhere was so good, the room was comfortable.

I think the description of the room title is wrong on booking.com we had a standard room described as a superior suite !!

The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. It was very clean and we loved the authentic Marrakesh vibes. Breakfast was cute ☺️

The room was very basic so not much room at all to hang up clothes etc. The air con wasn’t the best.
