Riad Dar Zaouia

A beautiful riad but first and foremost the staff were beyond exceptional. Super friendly, genuine and always so keen to help and assist wherever possible. I’ve stayed in marrakech six times over the last few years and Soubiane and his team are the best I’ve ever met.

We were made to feel very welcome, despite a delayed arrival. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and shared their knowledge of the Medina. Having a phone provided by the hotel, with local numbers and local information was helpful and reassuring. The friendly service and well presented local food added to our enjoyment. The Riad's interior decor provided a relaxed and calm environment.

Amazing riad! The staff are incredible and definitely part of whats makes staying here so special! So accommodating! We had early tickets for Jardin Majorelle and they made sure breakfast was ready early for us so we could eat before we left. The riad is beautiful and the rooms are also very comfortable with great bathrooms. Unfortunately it was raining most of the time we were in Marrakech but the rooftop looks like it would have been great to spend time on! The included breakfast is incredibly generous. Also loved that they provided a phone so you have a device connected to the internet while there. Such a great touch! We would definitely stay again.

This is a pro and a con - the riad is a bit further away from the main touristy areas which means it is a bit quieter (and conveinently close to Jardin Majorelle) but it does mean it takes longer to get to most sites. A pro if you like walking around and exploring a city though!

We stayed at Riad Dar Zaouia for two nights and would honestly give it more than 10/10 if that were possible. This place is absolutely outstanding and highly recommended. The location in the Medina of Marrakech is perfect, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a calm and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. What truly makes this riad special is the incredible staff. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive – the service really stands out and made our stay unforgettable. The charming rooftop terrace is another highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would recommend this accommodation without hesitation. We would definitely come back!

De riad ligt op slechts 10 minuten wandelen van de souks, in het echt authentieke gedeelte van de stad. Bij aankomst kom je meteen terecht in een oase van rust, ver weg van de drukte van Marrakech. Het personeel is uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Elke keer wanneer we terugkeerden van een dag in de stad, werden we hartelijk ontvangen met verse muntthee en koekjes — een klein gebaar dat echt het verschil maakt. Wat ook een grote meerwaarde is: het team staat altijd klaar om te helpen met het regelen van taxi’s en activiteiten. Dit is bijzonder handig, zeker om zeker te zijn van een correcte prijs en om onaangename verrassingen te vermijden. Ook het eten in de riad was van uitstekende kwaliteit, zelfs beter dan in sommige restaurants in het centrum. Kortom, een warme en authentieke plek waar gastvrijheid en service centraal staan.

We really loved staying at Riad Dar Zaouia, the staff was absolutely lovely and made us feel at home. Borrowing a phone at no cost was great, we could use Google Maps to get around and we could easily contact the staff if we needed help with anything.

The only thing that could have been a bit better was the beds, they were a bit stiff.

Beautiful and amazing staff

Our stay was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The location is convenient to the medina and the sites around the city. The staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of - from arranging taxis to a dinner in our room. The Riad itself is beautiful and well kept and the rooms are clean. Breakfast on the roof was something to look forward to each morning. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and hope to return to Marrakech soon.

Not enough time! We could have easily stayed another night or two.
